The first time I had an anxiety attack, for the longest time I felt like I kept on falling, until eventually I hit solid ground, and I could navigate through the fear and misery even as it kept holding me down. In a way I've never felt certain of myself. It was weird, to realise the fear was a state of mind and not a response to the outside. I wouldn't wish the experience on anyone, but this reminds me of that piece. I felt like Batman for two days, all brooding and confident, looking out from my balcony.
