A semi original weapon I made for my imperial world.

The Tkachenov Mk XII Trench Shotgun belongs to the Astra Militarum regiments of Kray Mira and it's Planetary Defense Force. It is a compact shotgun designed for Grenadiers, Arbites and PDF units, to serve as a dedicated trench warfare and close/urban-combat weapon for high-risk operations, which must combine high damage output with versatility and reliability, characteristics that also make this weapon perfect for being utilised in the confines of tunnel fighting.
It is a simpler and more inexpensive alternative to the Shockhammer Auto-shotgun, with its versatility and ease of construction making it widely used across the planet. The weapon's action is similar to a revolver's, using a rotating cylinder. Since the Tkachenov Mk XII uses a conventional double action only trigger and a very large and heavy cylinder (compared to handguns), a pre-wound clock-work spring was added to revolve the magazine. This made loading slow, in exchange for a shorter and lighter trigger pull. The design was changed into having a cocking lever on the right side of the barrel. The first designs were criticized as having a slow and cumbersome firing mechanism. The shells had to be individually loaded and then the drum's clockwork spring wound. Shells were ejected by an ejector rod along the right hand side of the barrel. The last version has the clockwork winding mechanism removed, the ejector rod replaced by an automatic ejection system, and a cocking lever in the rod's place that winds the drum automatically. Even the lowest-tech factories can produce this weapon, making it a common sight among criminal scum, outcasts and local police. It has many different variations, factory-made and otherwise, such as the Bulldog—an extremely shortened, stockless version intended for building entry and vehicular duties. The shotgun's blast means they can sweep a tunnel clear and potentially hit multiple opponents in a single blast. The weapon's high gauge and the heavy cartridge fired make it a deadly weapon at close quarters at the cost of a strong recoil. It has a 12 round magazine capacity and short overall length, and can be loaded with a variety of ammunition, including solid slugs, pellet loaded canisters and low velocity flares.

As with my previous post, it's kinda inspired on the Soviet Union and modern day Russia, though this one in particular is based on the south african Armsel Striker Street Sweeper. Hope you like it!
