Description
Okay, here we go - finishing up January of 2014 with ten new designs.
And I would like to apologise briefly for having watermarks that are quite strong. I had my first encounter with art theft last weekend, so I'm being a little overly cautious right now. I have tried to keep the designs easily seen regardless
Rules
Horses: 3, 4, 5, 8 and 10
ART AUCTION
Deadline: 28th February - 4 weeks time! (guys, I could have a puppy by this time
Horses: 1, 2, 6, 7 and 9
POINT AUCTION
Deadline: 16th February - 2 weeks and 2 days time!
Art Auction
Point Auction
Please note that I don't believe in repossessing horses, but on point bidding, I really, really want to see that the horses are drawn within the next month at least once. If you cannot draw your horse very often, consider that you may not be the best potential owner. I designed these guys and I just want to see them drawn and develop personalities.
Starting bid: 80
Minimum Increase: 5

THE HORSES
Backstory:
Most of it is up to you. This is another batch that ended up at Lakewood Farm when a huge livery yard in Lakeland, Cumbria, closed down. They're being rehomed from there, and any without homes may join the growing collection of ponies with future careers as Lakewood pony day horses. But short of moving from a bankrupt livery to Lakewood, you can choose what they were doing before, how they got there and anything else in between.
Gaps in genotypes are where the new owner may decide on the dominance/recessiveness, as either choice will not affect the design.

Hey, I was just wondering if you would class my stables as active yet? Just because I'd really love to try for one of these but I'd just like to make sure first.Β
Thanks.
p.s. these are really beautiful

Hi
Unfortunately, at this point I'd say you're not quite active. And I am sorry about that, because you're off to a good looking start - I really liked seeing the training image in your gallery, as a common thing is to see handfuls of references and nothing else. For this time, you're not quite there, but by the time I next have designs, keep on like you are, develop your characters, and you'll be well in there! (and no guarantees, but should any be left at the end of the auction, I may permit less active stables to try for them. As I said, no guarantees).
I'm really glad you like them, though, and I appreciate you taking the time to check first ^^

Thanks for answering, I didn't think I would be classed as active yet because of the technical problems and whatnot, but I'll keep working and keep an eye open for anymore of your designs.
Thanks again

Haha, I can imagine! Well, he looks quite lovely, I have to say. I think you did a very good job!
No problem, I always take a liking to too many designs. xD I think I'll go with the fleabitten grey, as I already have two seal bays in my stable. ^^

just a heads up for you - on #10 chocolate palomino isn't the same as silver black ^^
π: 0 β©: 1
Tattered-Dreams In reply to WesternSpurs [2014-01-31 11:09:32 +0000 UTC]
Actually, this is a bit of a debate, still ongoing.
Genetically, no - silver black is not palomino as there is no cream gene involved at all. But Palomino is also a term applied to a horse of a particular colouration, one assigned long before discovering genetics and the relevance of the cream gene.
Chocolate palomino is often considered by many (which is why I say it's a debate, because there are people on both sides of this) to be a description of a colouration (phenotype) not a description of a genotype. Meaning, a chocolate palomino could be a term applied to any horse with a brown/dark/chocolate coat and a light/flaxen mane and tail.
So, its a little awkard to properly categorise. I listed it here as a chocolate palomino, because purely in looks, a silver black can resemble that, and some people interpret it as a colour only.

Seal bay and Blue roan (minus the spots and markings)... I think those two are my fav's!Β
If I didn't have more Faime's coming in (*hangs head in shame* yes, you "heard" that correctly... I've acquired MORE ponies), I'd totally try for some of these pretty designs.Β I know you will have no problem finding loving homes for them.Β β₯

Hi
Unfortunately, you don't appear to have an rp stable, and one of the listed requirements for these designs is that they must go to already active rp homes. I can be quite cautious with all my designs, and it is rare that I will sell them outside of stable rpg so if you're looking to get a horse character, there are many adopts out there - probably better than mine - without this activity stipulation.
I appreciate your interest, though ^^

What is a rp stable?

Tattered-Dreams In reply to Inqueery [2014-03-14 14:05:48 +0000 UTC]
The best place to check out for an explanation is . I personally have a HARPG stable, but other RP stables work in the same way, they just don't necessarily register with or follow the specific rules of that group.
In the very essence, it is a stable environment you create as an artist, through artwork - everything from the property to the characters in it - and you 'keep' horses alive through your art - by drawing them as they compete or in their day to day lives. Check out the group, it explains it far better
