Yay! The first bunch are ready to go!

So...I don't have time for this, really, but the idea seized me (it started off as something else, believe it or not) and then just snowballed. So now, the plan is to draw all 25 odd of my horses in this funny little Toon style and put them into a huge lineup.

The Lakewood Lineup is something I've wanted to do for such a long time, but either I haven't had any time at all, or no muse for it, or the sketches just never came out right. When I started experimenting with these, it sort of fell into place, so i'm going with it.

Batch one is all my Faimes.

I'e still got Warmbloods, Arabians, Timekins and a 'Misc' category to go

Everyone is depicted fully grown, regardless of their current ages, because I have plans for this...I've just got to puzzle that out when I get there ^^.

So, left to right:

#235 Lakewood's Kaloua - Lou was a bought geno a while back. She has a miniXpony parentage, so she's a little more refined and big enough to ride.
#1015 Lakewood's Divinity - Bird was a Lakewood arranged breeding at the end of last year. She's a Tulli with a draft mother and sport father.
#580 Lakewood's Frosted Rose - Frosty was a gift from another stable who were closing down. Not my usual preference, but I loved her anyway.
#356 Lakewood's Celtic Lullaby - Celta was won at a wild auction early last year, full grown. She's the fiesty mini (Lou is the sweet one and Nemo is pure mischief).
#665 Lakewood's Winterfell - Winter was bought from another stable and aged up. Mainly draft, but there is sport blood in her ancestry.
#1102 Lakewood's Gold Dust - Nemo is perhaps the longest planned foal. A Lakewood arranged breeding and a homozygous Chipmunk stallion.
#1198 Lakewood's Oceana - Kairi was a Lakewood arranged breeding this year, but aged up. She's a bio lumino and her design took me the longest to settle on.
#1066 WT Long Way Home - Fleecy was a Lakewood arranged breeding at the end of last year. He's a peacock who was easy to design but difficult to name.

...and then there's Exy, Freya's liver merle Border Collie, too. Since Freya bought Fleecy, the pair of them have become friends (though it took some time).

I'm on a bit of a roll at the minute, but no real idea when the next lot will be out. Life is still manic off of dA, though I'm doing my best to get back into art and RP.

As for the art...each one of them took 2-3 hours-ish each, I think? Fleecy was first, and he took a lot longer as I was working out the style and how I wanted to do it. Sketching them was pretty easy, as was lining them. The toon style is simplified, so there's far less detail than my usual, though they are all greyscale shaded, and the shading isn't too simplified. The three minis were quicker in general XD And while stylised, they are all intended to resemble themselves.

Lou is more delicately built than Celta or Nemo. Celta is smallest. Bird has her feathers, Frosty is plaited up as usual (her mane is in something called a Rosette plait, I did not make it up) and Kairi has her wavy mane and tail. It was actually a lot of fun

Time overall...heck knows. I've been doing mostly this for the past few days.
