Description
Before the description starts let me mention that yes, I did draw this already (here is the original piece fav.me/d7fat2o ) and here is the two of them side by side ( fav.me/d8jz55g ). Being honest, I really like this picture. It has to be my favorite in the challenge and one of my favorite drawings in general, makes me think that I was actually okay at depicting pain.

Anyhow, Fred is basically a good guy. He is happy, outgoing, always smiling and there to help others, just an avarage nice person; though he truly doesn't have too many 'good people' around himself to begin with.
I mean, it's pretty clear that a toxic enviroment, whether you live or grow up in it, can basically change you and bring you down to extreme extents, and Fred gets affected like anybody would.
Fred is no perfect hero, he makes mistakes, and has regrets, he thinks about what he could've done or said hours later after a fight or an argument occured, and keeps thinking about it until he thinks he's got it all right, and at the same time, he does what he has to, doesn't stand out to much, and just keeps himself friendly to others but not close.
After all, the two things are not too similar, and Fred, may it be for fear or care, doesn't really open to people, even if he might hang out with them or consider them actual 'friends'.
To dig a bit more in his life, Fred was actually born Frédéric Grigorijvich, last kid out of 5, much younger than his siblings, in 1991.
He basically grew up without his father around and his mother just wasn't exactly the best, despite that, he wasn't a moody kid, and never really let that affect him too much, though it would bother him to go back home and see a not exactly 'normal' situation.
Still, he went through years of fights, of any kind, and even a couple of life-threatening experiences, though he still didn't seem to care to much, even if he obviously wasn't okay with it.
His mother would do pretty much anything, regardless if it were too much or too harsh, and Fred would pretty much get used to it after a while.
Though nobody is invincible, and human beings end up broken, and he again, he was no hero that could be an exception to the rule.
He is not an anti-hero, for he doesn't seek revenge or has a sick bloodthirst against those who weren't -nice- to him, though he is not a hero either, for he despises himself and his choices, and even if he gets out of depression and doesn't -hate- himself, he would simply be okay with who he is.
Depression would in fact be, one of the greatest parts of him, created by doubts and insecurities and constant wish to be a different person to make all predicaments go away.
Still, I changed the picturre from the original one because yes, Fred did cut, though it was a struggle he'd have to just let everything out, because, as ironic as it is with the title, he never cried, but from everything around him, there would be a wish of just disappearing from time to time, and unfortunately, I think it's quite known that self hatred and self harm of any nature is often related to a depressed person.

Still, I do not identify 'crying' in the picture as an actual good crying with tears and sobs, but as a scream of frustration, which Fred would just keep inside while he reaches out to others instead.
