Description
This sketch was inspired by the song 'DEMONS', for I thought it just applied to my character really well
About the picture (in this case sketch)
As usual, by now, these characters are Fred and Fabrizio, and before I even write anything about the sketch let me just mention that they are really special to me, so I hope you like them too. Anyway, Frederic (blond on the left for those who aren't familiar with them) is usually a very happy, cheerful and kind person, whereas Fab is usually cold and doesn't bother to talk to people nor have any contact with them. Still, Fred sometimes just breaks down, thinking of all bad things he's seen or been through, or even just as a result of bottling things up for too long (which he did/does a lot seeing as I do picture him to have struggled with depression or anything similar in the past, since I personally know how it feels and I can see that be applied to him), and he doesn't really need anything, he just needs to sit there and let it all out, and just like when he was a kid he just needs someone, anybody, to just be there for him.
He actually isn't used to cry neither, seeing as he is just way better at hiding things, in fear of bothering whoever he'd love to talk to; he's much of a listener and less of a talker, which is obviously a quality, but a flaw for any of those people who keep quiet and suffer inside for whatever reason. Still, back to the general topic, Fabrizio usually would fake to act cold towards him, despite the fact of them being a couple, especially in public, however, knowing of Fred's "demons" he surely doesn't like to let the chance of hear him out slip out of his hands.
Either way, I really relate to Fred, and this sketch only took me 20 minutes, so I thought 'why not'.

This is sweet yet sad. Fred always was so strong and while Fab is so stubborn and keeps to himself, Fred is the most closed person about his pain.

Yeah, Fab would honestly believe he's be stubborn and closed off about his personality and so, and Fred let him believe it for a long time because his pain was something he didn't want to share.
The only reason why Fab came to know it would be because one time Fred actually broke down so bad he was reckless and ended up spilling out many things later on in hospital, to which Fab would just be shocked cos they'd still be in high school and all.

Yeah, Fred didn't really want to get Fab involved with him himself. He'd want to be friends because he'd feel bad to see Fab on his own all the time, but even after he'd start liking him he wouldn't tell him about himself. Fab would have doubts of course when they started spending a lot more time together, but Fred would still obviously cover it up and if he hadn't just...broken down and told him most of it, Fab would probably never know.

At first Fab wouls take his breakdown as a bad thing, as in... he'd think of himself as stupid for not realizing how much pain Fred actually hid, but then he'd just turn it into hatred for Irina and he'd go talk to her when Fred would still be in hosptial, looking like a wreck and all.

Yep and Fab would be banging on her door and when she opens it he would greet her with a slap across the face saying, "You despicable two-faced poisonous bitch!"

Irina would be surprised but she'd glare and almost slap back, hissing, "Excuse me? Do I even know you?! Who are you calling a bitch!?"

Fab would glare and hiss, "I want a chat with you, about your son for one, and I'm not leaving until I get answers as to what you did to him and what the hell is going on in this house! Starting when he was seven years old because that's when it all began!"

Irina would blink, "...my son? Who, Nikolaj? He is a bit old for you..." but then she would blink and glare," ...Oh... him. Well, I don't want to -chat- about him. That was around...8..or.. 10... yeah, 10 years ago, of he is 17 now, I don't know his age and I honestly don't care...I don't owe you any explenation..."

Fab would glare, "Yes you do, because Fred has been sent to the hospital from a panic attack. And when I was there, he told me everything, I know what you did to him, and I don't know if he left anything out but I'm sure you did worse things than what he described. And I want to know why did you do this to him, and like I said I not leaving until I get answers so you better start talking."

Irina would glare back, "How do you know he's not making it up? He could be lying. And besides, what do you want me to say? Hi, you're welcome, have a seat? No, I won't! And I have no idea what sort of answers you are looking for, but sweetie, you came to the wrong place. I have nothing to tell you, especially out of nothing! If you have a question fine, I'll deal with you, but like hell am I standing here dealing with you a minute longer... this is unbelievable..."

Fab would shout, "Fred would NEVER lie about something like this, but he kept his pain a secret from everyone because he didn't want anyone to get involved with you. And the more he told me, the more I understood why your eldest kids never come to see you or call you and only check on Fred. Your eldest daughter told me she never brought her kids over to see you but never really told me why..but now I do because she didn't want her kids to be around a psychopath! And now I understand why everytime Nikolaj brings you up in conversation it's like he had a nasty taste in his mouth."

Irina would shout back, "Well too bad because he did lie to you! I am not a psychopath and I didn't do anything bad to my last child! If anything I slapped him now and then but it was to keep him polite and nice! Discipline! Something you don't seem to have! And besides you are just letting my son trick you! All she said, lies. He lies, he always has! He just wants to play the victim!"

Fab would shout, "He is a victim! And everything you did to him was NEVER discipline! You did that for your own disgusting amusement I seen the scars on his body...and the one scar that you gave him when you tried to kill him! What the hell were you thinking doing that to him!? What has he ever done to you to do that to him!?"

Irina would shout back, "How in the world is he a victim?! He pretends to be and you fall straight in his trap, it's almost pathetic! I slapped him a couple times as a kid, I told you already, and that was all! That is not a good reason to play the victim at all! He is the worst, really! And what makes you think /I/ gave him those scars? He did most of it as well, I didn 't play a huge role in it! And who said I tried to KILL him?! I never did! You are just being lied to and attacking me for no reason whatsoever! What PROOF do you have that I did anything to him at all!?"

Fab would shout, "THAT'S ENOUGH! I don't want to hear anymore of your bullshit lies! Fred never told anyone what you did to him and he suffered from keeping it from everyone because he didn't want people to worry about his well-being or get you into trouble, he kept this from me since the day he met and that's because he respected you as his mother, and the fact if people found out you would come after them as well and do anything to keep up with your image as a good mother! When in reality you are a monster and your children hate you! And you made Fred suffer for it, and he is NOT horrible, he is a way better human being than anyone else and he would never say anything horrible about anyone, including you! You should be ashamed of yourself!"

Irina would be a bit shocked at him outbursting like that and she'd just drop the act and glare at him dangerously, "...Very well then. Let's stop the lies. This game isn't funny anymore." And she'd grab him by the shirt, "Listen up, brat, I do NOT know what that worthless child has told you, but all the things he's hidden from you? He probably hid them because he KNOWS he has a fault if they happened! He was and is the WORST of children, I never hit him for no reason and I did NOT make him suffer! I did what I had to do! And if he came off to you as a victim, that's his own issue! He should be on his knees begging for mercy at me every single day and that is all! You do NOT know him! You do NOT know what a pain he is! Don't you DARE say he is not a horrible human being, because the Lord really DID put all of the flaws he could think of into that child! And of course /I/ had to have him!"

Fab would push her off and glare, "You truly are evil....and not just evil, but sick as well...well now that I know what's going on, you've left me with no choice."

Irina would grab him again, "How dare you? I am NOT evil nor sick! I haven't done anything wrong! If only you realized what a pain that child is you would agree! You weren't even HERE! You said he has a scar, I have never seen it! Were you THERE when he got it? No! How do you know that he got it because of ME?"

Fab would say, "Because unlike you Fred isn't a liar, and I didn't have to be here when it happened because I saw the evidence and spoke to your kids......and now I'm going to put an end to it!" Fab would push her away, "I can't let Fred live like this anymore, after he gets discharged from the hospital.....he's coming to live with me."

Irina would glare, "Oh you are right. Not a liar, a manipulator! A fake victim! And what evidence are you talking about?! There is NO evidence! He has NO SCARS!" and she'd say it angrily not really knowing or caring that the topic would be bad for Fab, and then she'd glare, "What? With you? Boy, you must be crazy! He is not going anywhere!"

Fab would hiss, "Yes he is! You've done enough damage to last a lifetime and I won't let you hurt Fred anymore! You've done that for seventeen years and there is no way in hell I will let you destroy him anymore then you have! You made him suffer and now I'm going to take him with me and he will be part of my family! You will no longer be his mother!"

Irina would hiss back, "Damage?! What damage?! I punished him because he deserved it! And I did not destroy him, you are being dramatic to try to steal him from me! But I won't allow it! He is mine! And mine alone! No way is he coming away with you! I never abused or hit him if not necessary and HERE is where he belongs!"

Fab would slap her again, "Well this time he won't come back, he doesn't belong to you or anyone else, he will be eighteen in a few days and by then he will be a legal adult who can make his own choices. And you hit him not to punish him but to make yourself feel powerful. By three days time he will finally be free and he and I will be living together, while you will rot in this hovel alone."

She would glare, "I forbid it! He is my child and i refuse to hand him over to you! You are trying to steal him and I won't allow him! Thise scars were his own and he will have to admit it! I never hit him to feel powerful, and you should know it! I hit him because he was a spoiled, whiny brat who deserved slaps, punishments, nights locked away and outside and much more!"

Fab would snap and pin her against the wall, "You slut! He is not a brat or any of those things, and whether you like it or not he is going to live with me. I won't let you hurt him anymore, and I will do what ever it takes to protect him from the likes of you....and if I have to kill you with my bare hands to save him....then so be it!"

Irina would scream a little in surprise but then she'd lood at him and hatred, "You are the same at me! And you know what? This is exactky what I did!" And she'd know how much it would hurt Fab, so she'd say, "Yes, I hit him! And butnt him! And scratched him til he bled! And starved him and kicked him out of the house in the snow! I choked him and put a knife to his neck and otber places trying to jill him because that worthless brath deserved NOTHING BUT THIS! And you won't steal him from me! He IS MINE!"

And Fab would slap her to the ground and growl and glare, "No he isn't, you never treated him as your son and you never acted like his mother. And whatever day you last saw him will be the last time you will EVER see him. He is staying with me and you will never see him again." And Fab would turn around to leave.

And Irina would grab him and throw him back, and she'd call her husband for help, "Listen up, you rich, posh boy! I will NOT allow you to steal my child from me! He belongs to me and all the things I did to him, he deserved them from the beginning to the end! If it wasn't for him my life would've been much better, he doesn't even deserve to be alive! I allowed him to live, instead, and he will NOT turn his back on me! Ever!"

Irina would glare at him dangerously, "...Because if I let him go, I know he won't get what he deserves elsewhere. Look at you, you'd never be up to hurt him..and besides, he belongs to me. I never wanted him to start with, but he was born, and I had to take care of him, whether I liked it or not. My ways of raising him are NONE of your concern..."

Fab would glare, "You selfish bitch! He never deserved what happened to him! And just because you gave birth to him that doesn't mean you have to care of him, the only mistake regarding his birth is having a psychotic bitch like you as his mom! And it is my business because I won't let you kill him!" Fab would shove her away and leave for the door and turn back and say, "You have no idea of what you have done to this family! Because of what you did your children and grandkids hate you, and when Fred is gone they will never want anything to do with you again. Now you're on your own and you won't use Fred as a punching bag!" And he would open the door and slam it behind him.

Irina would glare at him and shout before he leaves, "I swear to God, I will kill him just to see you beg me to stop! Just to see yiu on your knees over his filthy, lifeless, worthless body! Because he deserves everything he gets, including dying! And I tried to get rid of him before, but by now you have given me more motivation!" And he would look dangerous, "I will never, EVER allow you to take him away, he belongs to ME and I will be the o e who takes care of whatever happens to him!"

And Irina wouldn't be aware so she'd just turn to him and be angry, "Can you believe how stubborn that brat was? He really was the worst! No doubt he is Frederic's friend..."
