This is an old doodle done about 15 yrs ago when I had a little more time for this kind of thing. I enjoyed doing it then and it is still interesting to look at now..Related content

Because of the huuuuuggee amount of time that it takes to do them... I may be able to do some in the near future!! I have been remodeling an old commercial building by myself into our new house... I have been at it for about 10 yrs and it is just now getting close enough to done that I am able to think about doing other things again besides working on that... We just started moving into the parts of it that are done and were able to have the family Thanksgiving dinner here... See here for a little of what I have been doing..
This has pretty much consumed me for a long time! I still have one large bedroom to redo and then my life will be my own again..

Took a long time! Started as a little doodle in the middle and I just kept going with the bordering! You'd almost think I liked borders alot..

Thank You, It is not actually that old.. Thanks for noting that though. I hadn't noticed. It is pretty old anyway, done in 1985 I think. Is actually called a doodle, small art along the margins of notebook pages when I was supposed to be doing other things. Best work done then. lol. I like straight line art, sis called it ruler art. I called this a doodle because lots of it was pretty random, I just started the lines and they kinda continued on their own.. A bit of artistic senility...

Still pretty old well two years older then me. But it still looking a ok. When I look at my drawings which are half as old as I'm they are all faded and wrinkled.
I see. For me a doodle is more a messy bunch of lines. But in this case it is a great doodle.

Whewww!! Thats pretty old!!! This was done on pretty good quality art paper 36 (91cm) inches by 24 inches (61cm). Labor of love.. (wasted a lot of time drawing colored lines was the comment heard at home). Oh well, could have been wasting my time doing a lot of other things too.
Sorry bout your doodles being a messy bunch of lines!! lol.

This explains why it still looks so good. I did my drawings on normal paper.
That is true if you wasted if for good or useful things. But being creative is a good way to waste time and do something useful.

I did some of mine on legal pads and just plain lined pads and they did a good job of yellowing and wrinkling. So bad I couldn't scan and put up on DA. Too bad..
Usually a nice buzz(I don't know a better nicer term for the feeling) comes while working on something that turns out well.
Sure we can all have nice straight lines, just get a ruler... sorry bout that. lol..
