History: Born and raised in a rural village on the outskirts of Thedale, Jaro learned the importance of hard work and resourcefulness at a young age. He was taught that the desert is both a bountiful oasis and an unforgiving sea of sand and sun.

Raised alone by his mother, Jaro's father was imprisoned before he was born for crimes against the city. All that Jaro was told by his mother was that his father was endlessly persecuted for his ability to shift his form and use magic. It was why, upon discovering that Jaro had inherited his fathers abilities, that his mother moved them away from the city into a rural village and taught Jaro to keep his abilities hidden.

Struggling through his childhood to hide what he is, Jaro found forging friendships difficult at best and prefered to stay on his own, often exploring the lands around his home. As he matured into a teen, he began to push the boundaries of his explorations until he became daring enough to venture to Thedale. He found excitement in the bustling city and began to appreciate how easily he blended in without being seen. It made him take risks and push his limits, committing petty crimes and testing his ability to shift. His first interactions with law officers labelled him as little more than a nuissance, but Jaro didn't learn from the experiences. He continued to steal, pillage and use his magic openly, racking up charges and a reputation. The few people he did associate with did not paint the best paths for him, and soon he found himself in shadier dealings and conspiracies.

It wasn't until he was a young adult that he would truly learn the meaning of consequence. During a night raid on his village, the raid turned to a fire fight as an officer was assaulted and a villager kiled. Jaro's mother and several other villagers were tragically killed as the village fought to drive out the soldiers. Jaro later learned that the night raid had been a search for him, to bring him in for his crimes against the city. Charged with his multitude of petty crimes, evasion of arrest, accessory to murder, and conspiracy, Jaro knew he faced two options: a death sentence, or a life surrended to the desert. Grabbing what belongings he could carry, Jaro stole a Vayron and set off into the desert where he knew he would never be found.
