The Boy I Saved Part 3

Elisa's P.O.V
Once Elisa is in her room she picks up her iPod, switches it on, puts the ear buds in then lays down on her bed to think, eventually succumbing to sleep. While she slept Elisa dreamed. In her dream Elisa was in her tiger form and she was with another were tiger an orange one.  They were running around chasing each other, jumping on each other, rubbing against each other purring and chuffing. In the dream Elisa feels blissful so strong that she'd never felt before, the feeling like a drug.

When Elisa woke up a few hours had passed. Elisa's feelings of anger before she went to sleep have gone replaced by the feelings of happiness from the dream. She gets a shower, dries off before putting on a pale blue top with another pair of jeans and blue trainers to match. After dressing Elisa sits on her bed and thinks about the full moon tonight, which would cause Byron's first change, along with her feelings towards him even though she'd just met him.  'Why did I feel this way towards him when I first met him? Why did I have the overwhelming need to find him before he nearly died? Why did I feel the need to do my best to protect him from those other were tigers? Could he be my mate? No that'd be too much of a coincidence wouldn't it' she thought to herself.

After she'd thought for a while Elisa decided to go back downstairs and make her peace with Byron. When Elisa made her way downstairs she found Byron sat on the sofa watching TV. As soon as Byron notices her presence his head turns and he's eyes meet with hers.  "I'm sorry I over reacted" he starts to say but a finger on his lips prevents him from saying anymore. "It's ok, you must be worried about tonight being a full moon, is there anything you want to know about were tigers and the transformation that you'll undergo?" Elisa asks. He stares intently into her blue eyes before he speaks again "How did you become a were tiger?" "I was born one, my mother was one" she answered and was met with a confused look from Byron, so Elisa explains "You can be a were-tiger through inheritance. It is passed from father to son or mother to daughter but for instance a daughter born from a male were tiger won't be able to transform into tiger form but they may develop tiger like traits such as a heightened sense of smell. The first transformation occurs on a full moon around the time of a females 19th birthday or around the time of a male's 21st birthday. The other way to become a were-tiger is to be either bitten or scratched by one in their tiger form and regardless of age they will have their first transformation on the next full moon, but you already know that"  "Does it hurt when you transform?" Byron asks staring intently into Elisa's aqua blue eyes. "Yes it hurts, especially the first time but it's not as painful when you've done it a few times" She replied looking down at her feet.  A hand gently grasps Elisa's chin, moving her head up so that she's looking at Byron.  "It's not your fault what's happening to me, if it wasn't for you I'd most likely of died if you hadn't of found me" he said.  She responded with a small smile before glancing over to the clock then to the view outside through the window. "It's almost time" She said. They stood in silence for a couple of minutes before Byron is ushered into the dining room which gave Byron more room for when he changed.

Byron's P.O.V
Byron and Elisa stood in silence for round about an hour before Byron starts to feel a tingling sensation running through the skin behind his knees and elbows. Then he begins to feel a burning sensation coming from his scratch.  His heart beat quickens becoming so fast he has to gulp in air.  He frantically tries to stop the changing process by clenching his eyes shut and willing the sensations to stop. Next Byron's temples start to throb and the burning sensation in his skin spreads down his arms and legs then all throughout his body. His scalp starts to tingle then a current seems to vibrate in his bones. The currents buzz increasingly vibrates up his arms, down his spine and in his teeth. His change begins first by his skin starting to stretch. Now his whole body burned feeling like he's being burned alive. He cries out in pain before doubling over, dropping to the ground on his hands and knees.  The muscles in his legs start to knot and convulse. Byron is gasping trying to relax himself while he's sweating buckets. Next his muscles relent and untwist themselves causing him to cry out in pain again. His hands transform into paws then his face contorts into an unknown shape until it reaches the shape of a tiger. Striped orange, white and black fur sprouts up all over his body a tale bursts out from the end of his spine completing his transformation.

Once transformed into a tiger he stretches and blinks. After blinking a couple of times, he turns his head looking around. He finds that his eyesight has changed and mutated to an array of colours not seen by the eyes of humans, black and browns and greys with subtle shadings which are converted to blues and greens and reds by his brain. He sniffs the air his senses enhanced by the change. His nose picks up the scent of another like him, he growls and edges closer to Elisa.  As he gets closer the scent gets stronger and more recognizable. He finds this scent very enticing. Without realising it Byron moves forward in a sort of trance until he is right in front of Elisa, where he begins to rub against her legs just like a cat marking her with his scent. At first she's shocked but after a minute or so she relaxes. Byron nudges Elisa's knee with his head and she responds by digging her fingers through his golden orange fur, scratching him along his underside and behind his ears. After stroking him for a while Elisa makes her way over to the sofa to sit down. Byron follows her and plops down next to her, laying his head in her lap to which she scratches his ears again. Elisa continues doing this until she gradually falls asleep. Once Elisa was asleep Byron lays down on the floor up against the sofa and goes to sleep.

Byron is woken up by something landing on top of him. He turns his head and finds out that it's Elisa who has fallen on top of him, laid out with her arms and legs draped over him. With Elisa still on his back Byron carefully makes his way to her bedroom, where he gently lays her on her bed and tiredness once again overtaking him he settles to sleep on the bed beside her.
