Thank you to everyone who voted in my poll recently. As over 100 people said "yes", I put together this little turorial for those of you who are interested to learn how to make paperchildren of your own.
Final image can be seen here:
You don't have to use the exact media I do, but perhaps it might help you learn a few tips and tricks I have learned from fellow deviants and talented paperchildren artists.
Let me know what you think!
Thank you for looking!

I was here for the instructions but my gosh your art is beautiful! It's a bit sad that his cute little had wasn't visible in the final version.

This tutorial, I found was to be very professional with professional tools. But if you find your own cheaper way but with same method, it will look as simple as good. I used the cheaper way and still got a lot of people liking it. I managed to make it, this is the best one I've made. [see reply]

Excuse me, but what do you mean by Prismacolour and how do I do the step where it says "dun dun dun-duuun"?

Prismacolor is a brand of coloured pencil. They are from the United States. The text I used in reference to my paperchild once I had applied the coloured pencil to it. It was mainly white I used on this one.

So that pencil was for lighting?

It was for adding bright highlights, yes, but they can also be used for shadows too.

Brilliant tutorial! Where's the best place to get Copic markers? I looked on Amazon and a set of 12 was about £25 - £30. Is that a decent price?

Thank you! I hope it might hep you!
Yeah, that price sounds about right. I think I paid about £130 for my set of 72. Sets of 5 are usually around £10, and sets of 36 are about £50ish. I hope that's of some use to you!
Copics are expensive wherever you go, though I got mine from GraphicsDirect.

oh awesome! I've been wondering how to do these. I made one of a few Pokemon, but sadly the poor Litwick got wet and died! lol I'll make sure to draw them on thicker paper next time!
I also made a Trubbish (my fiance loved it so much I drew it on sticker paper for him so he could have Trubbish stickers!)

Thank you! I think I might do one of these some day. I want to have Tails the fox sitting on my pet lizard's back (if she'll allow it and if paper children are not very sharp). Maybe I could have him peering into her cage.
