So, this came to fruition after picking up my Wii in a long time, and fighting Ganondorf the last boss in Twilight Princess.I realised I'd never really done much Twilight Princess fan art, so I guess I'm better late than never!
I'd love to see a fanfiction based on this piece.
I'm not really sure what's going on myself, but I didn't want to show Ganondorf in such a bad light.
He never attempts to kill Zelda as far as I'm aware. So this is his somewhat "softer" side.

Please don't ask how many hours this took! I never "hour count". I did this over 3 days...in long slogs.

AAAH this is beautiful!! Coloured pencils can be real bitches, but you managed to do a soft and very clean coloration. The way you did the gold in the background is awesome! Do you remember if you mixed colours for it or if you used a golden coloured pencil?
Now that you say it, he really doesn't try to kill her, by comparing his actions towards her and Link she really experiences his softer side, haha. I wonder why? Maybe it's some old, nostalgic feeling towards her... ah, I'm still sad that their interaction was almost zero in TP ;_; welp. I hope in future games this will be a bigger focus.

Thanks! And yes, I find coloured pencils to my my ultimate medium nowadays. I do dabble and create works with a few other things, but I always come back to my lovely Prismacolors!

I'd write a story about this, but I'm already writing a fanfiction in which Ganondorf is one of the main characters. He's pretty hard to write about, because he can, of course, be evil, but he really does seem to have a slightly, almost nice side.

Ganondorf isn't exactly an easy character to draw. I thought it was pretty neat, though, that you drew him with his hair down. You even made his hair wavy, which would make sense, because he keeps his hair up in those curls in Twilight Princess. Very clever!

I wrote a FanFic back in the days when Wind Waker was new in the stores. It was set in the "Ocarina of Time"-Timeframe and one of the things I put in was the fact, that Ganondorf never killed Zelda, because he had a soft spot for her *g* The FF even ranked #1 as 'Best Zelda Fan Fiction' on the (at that time) biggest german Zelda-Fansite xD

I just completed a new Ganondorf and Zelda sketch this evening actually! I'll be working on the colour sometime this week and will probably upload it towards the weekend.
And OMG the drawing I'm working on now *is* based on WW. I actually only just finished it yesterday! Life got in the way and I never really settled down to play it. I'm SO GLAD I DID though!

Hehe thanks! I need to do some more research for the background, but I have the figures coloured now. The background may take a while, but I'm hoping the use of my markers will speed it up a little, and make it look a bit more even

I was in love with this couple after playing this game! You drew Zelda's dress to a T! I've seen so many pictures where her dress isn't even close to what it's supposed to be -.-. I love Ganondorfs hair too. Bottom line is, you drew this fantastically. My friend is a very good at fanfics, I can ask her to write one for you!

As I said I don't know much about Zelda, but I see that it seems that Ganon is in love with Zelda..? It's just from what I guess.
Anyways, I think you did a good job on capturing their strange relationship. It is interesting to see them together in this way. It is very romantic almost!
Great job on the coloring and detailing. I really like the background with the giant Triforce. And I have to say that Ganon's outfit kicks ass!

Whether they are or not is entirely up to the viewer. I left it sorta open for stories and interpretation.
