So..The reason I've been away this week...I've been playing Thief 2014
Yes, I know, I know...
It's a slated game and everything, and I am aware of the original trilogy (played them many moons back, and still love them! I actually have a Garrett fan art in my gallery somewhere..) but something about this just keeps me hooked on playing it...it's like a drug..
Anyway, bad plot and annoyances aside, (don't even get me started on that map) I just completed it on "Thief" this week, aiming to start "Master" and do all missions with a Ghost rating next. That should keep me going a while!
I do love the "Focus" mode in this game. You know...where you actually have to eat opium to keep your focus topped up?
This was a great little exercise to get me back into drawing again. I've really missed my coloured pencils!
And I do love Garrett!

When I was searching through The-Thieves-Guild group this picture immediately catch my eyes. I was wondering what is this and I open. Then... It was madness!
My mind was blown away! I was just starring at this some good 10 minutes before I shook my head.
It's perfect! You bitter, dark style suits Garrett so good! All those dark browns and delicate greys make this picture gorgeous. But I just adore that blue light which comes from flower. It perfectly lights Garrett's face and eyes what looks fantastic! His pose is great - a little bit focused and maybe a little bit scared before eating flower?
Congratulations, congratulations! I worship you because of this drawing!

Ух ты, вот это я понимаю. Только меня смущает одна деталь - это подобие корсета из кожи. Эта штука делает фигуру Гарретта женственной.

The picture is lovely. I enjoy this dark, "bitter" style (it reminds me of what Isbjorg does). As for the theme... Being a devoted and long-term Thief fan, I spit everytime I see those poppies. Seriously, would you take drugs? You could actually start seeing Erin 
There's a Polish children's song that goes like that in a loose translation: "Sophie's walking in the meadow, picking flowers which smell sweet". But when you exchange "Sophie" with "Garrett", "meadow" with "fever", "flowers" with "poppies blue" and "smell sweet" with "reek", everybody knows what I'm mocking

Haha well, yes I agree a little with you there, I thoroughly enjoyed the original series, and I wasn't overly keen on playing Thief 4 first time around. But I have started a new file now, (trying to get Ghost on every mission on "Master" setting) and boy it's not easy. So the more I play it, the more I get engrossed in it
And that's very interesting! The only think I know about the Polish language is that there is no V in the alphabet (that's right..right? XD )

Well, I also admit T4 is difficult. Mainly due to the screwed up - at least for taffers who love T1-3 like you and me - control system (like no-jump, immediate jumping through a cracked window without looking inside and such). The AI is challenging, but the statistics are quite frustrating. I have a bug that shows a killed opponent which add up through chapters, whereas I never kill :-/.
As for Polish, we have it the hard way

Thanks! And I loved the original trilogy so much! I was lucky to be able to find the fan patches needed to play on modern OS's
Not an easy feat to get older games to run on newer machines, sadly

Haha yes, I guess you could say he relies on those flowers a little *too* much
And I dunno...I actually really like his nose for some reason XD
I was also really put off by the eye make up at first but I think it's really growing on me now..
