I realize these are actually kinda similar poses from different angles, oops. No harm done I guess D:These were for *88ms-allie88 of her Ponies, and they are very cute! I'm kind of a really big fan of glowy green or yellow on grey/black, so I was totally happy to be able to do hooves like that. If anybody remembers my Windows colour scheme, you'd know what I'm talking about xD

A friend and I had a discussion about the applications of red and how he dislikes red and especially thinks that high saturation red is a bit of a design nightmare when it's used in excess. Doubly so with dark colours (this topic started with, for the first time I've ever seen, a black and red alicorn OC, which I seriously hadn't run into any of before then).
[link] Then this gorgeous thing came up and now we're a little happier about the colour red <3 I am sure the same wonderful things can be done with the other colours! Even on Ponies!

I don't know what sort of character that is, but the first thing that came to mind was this But yes, color theory and balance is definitely a thing, and it's a thing that person does well! Even as someone who never makes characters, it's fun to play with color pallettes to figure out what you want a picture to convey. I've found that I'm far more interested in clothes with color than the same black, white, grey and navy that dominates menswear departments :I It's kind of awful. Color is energy! It's not fun without energy.
