Nuffink and his friend are out watching something. From the Night Light's expression, my guess is that they are watching events unfold as they try to out Loki the twins.

This 6 x 8 inch acrylic painting on gessoed hardboard is my entry in the Discover Your Duo contest.

(This part of the text was added on May 22) I've thought about it for a day and I decided to add something about why I like this duo. My seeing them as a duo is inspired by that little bit where Nuffink reaches over to touch the white Night Light and it gives an excited friendly reaction. I can see a friendship growing from that moment and the storyteller in me is running with that idea. I am also basing the idea of them as a duo on how at the end of the last book in the series Hiccup's words made it clear that the dragons did not disappear all at once, and that some of them, including Toothless, came back for visits during the remainder of the lives of their Viking friends.
