Don't Starve (c) Klei EntertainmentSorry for ANOTHER sketch dump! I seriously planned to make original stuff instead of fanwork.
Yep, I've been on an unofficial hiatus for 3 WEEKS; I had no desire to draw, no inspiration, and it was unnerving. Funny enough, this was going to be the last drawing BEFORE my art block, so I guess it would only be lifted by making this. I need to be more forgiving to the way inspiration works for me. Demons BEGONE!
Anyway, this basically sums up ideas I had for Don't Starve; nothin' special. Wilson is sent to California (briefly meets William Carter on the train), and studies in school. He has many rivals, emotional problems, and recurring shadow attacks that causes him to fail at every subject. In desperation, he experiments on Woodie and unintentionally implements his Werebeaver state. He flees, eventually settling in New England. Things happen, he meets everyone in the game, he and Willow get married and have a son named Winston... And.... yeah.
I'm trying to work on original stuff and upload it, but I guess I just need to follow wherever Inspiration goes. Truly it doesn't work on anyone's clock, including mine. We'll see what comes next!
Oh yeah! And design credit for Wilson's parents goes to RavenBlackCrow ! (i know it's hard to see, but it's best to be sure!)

Not going to lie - that mini comic that reveals Wilson's distrust of women made my heart hurt... I would have snatched him up and taken him far from that woman who dares call herself his mother....

The sad but true fact of the matter is that its very easy to call yourself a parent just because you help create or gave birth to another life...but a REAL PARENT isn't always that person. They might have been your Mother or Father, but that didn't make them your Momma or Dad.
Yeah - I just got into Don't Starve pretty late into the fandom and I admit to Wilson quickly winning a place in my heart

And I get into fandoms late too, but it's actually more a blessing than a curse! You may not have established a fan story that a lot of people know at first, but that also means that the crazy hater fans aren't as present when you do make it. It feels more personal, and therefore a better story, than just trying to jump on the attention (believe me I've tried! ) Warmest welcome from a fellow fan!!

Thank you and God I do know that feeling - I'm a long time The Nightmare Before Christmas fan and some of the shit I have seen.... *shivers* ...Plus, it doesn't help that I run an rp blog on Tumblr for the Pumpkin King himself and apparently I'm good at it (At least that's what a lot of my followers on there tell me) so I do get some crazy "fans" - and I use that term lightly because many don't know shit of what they are talking about - here and there.
As for the welcome, thank you so much! I have to say that there are plenty of things that I find very interesting about the game and its characters, I've fallen to the addiction that is Matches and Theorems (a.k.a. Willowson), and I'm already brewing up my our theories and possibly an OC. I've seen plenty of Wilson's.."relatives", but what about one being from the future and being quite different

EXACTLY! And that's why I have dubbed those types "Casual Fans".
As for that fan story, its more an idea of my own that's a little bit based off of DS Rocky's Don't Starve modern comic.
I always wondered if anyone ever tried to find out what happened to the survivors and what if that investigation was reopened in modern time (now) by the relatives of one of the survivors - in my case with my OC being the Great Grand Niece of a Mister Wilson P Higgsbury.

Wouldn't be able to draw characters like those like how you do it, but then again i haven't been drawing any humans or any other human related structures for a long time either so thats understandable.

It takes a lot of practice to draw the way you want to, but don't be discouraged! There are some things I'm BAD at drawing, like horses, but with practice I'll get better!

Yep! This was when he was in school. And... you tend to have bias against a certain gender, to some degree, when a close family member does something bad like that. Hooray psychology!!!
