Description
Hawk’s golden pelt caught the warm, dappled light as he tore through the land. A vexed snarl slipped through his fangs as the pale huntress advanced on him, quickly closing the gap between them. The brief exchange had transformed into an all-out competition. Her presence was most unwelcome, for Hawk was a solitary hunter. But Gwyndolyn was proving to be more than a delicate mountain doe. She glided swiftly over the snow with grace while Mohawk plowed through it, kicking up an icy torrent in his wake. As the wood thickened, she took the lead, maneuvering her way expertly through the trees. Hawk stalked her path, following closely at her hocks and resisting the urge to nip at silver-tipped tail. They were both too proud and too headstrong to relent, and so the battle of skills waged on.
