Worst of all friends, I have no excuse for missing your birthday.
I could say stuff like I didn't have time for myself for a long time, that I became a bit sick cause of stress or that I couldn't even disguise for Halloween for the first time in my life.
But that wouldn't mean anything because it is unforgivable of myself .n.
I feel horribly sorry that you had a lonely birthday because of me and it will haunt me for a long time now..

oTL I hope you will still enjoy this really late birthday gift
I don't expect you to ever forgive me

But lemme say that I still love you enormously and that you miss me everyday
