Drawing children is amazingly hard.Remind me never to color like this again. It requires too much patience.

I love drawing kids. I think this is perfect, You have made Severus adorable but not sickly cute, perfect. He looks like he needs a good sleep with those dark rims round his eyes but then he has so much to cope with he must struggle with getting to sleep. I love them both.

I really like this... they do look about the right age for first-years, and your drawing style is a very nice mix between realistic and a bit stylized which I like. And the painting job really paid off... I know it looks simple but it really isn't. Very nice!
