Description

Stepping up to bat, Mattias is taking his White Knight activities to a whole new level, and is on the digital warpath against G3. Attempting to hack G3 with only Epsilon and Digi at his side, this little attack-squad is ready to do anything and everything they can to shut down Franz and his brutal 'Project Glaciate'.

Trainer Info:

Not yet old enough to be CEO of Nexus, Mattias (Mattie for short) is instead the Head of the Computing and Development Departments, and sits on the Board of Directors. His father, David Colt sits in as CEO until Mattie is able to be handed the keys to the kingdom.

Young, but gifted, Mattie was responsible for adapting the Pokemon PC System for operational use on Ohana, and is trying to upgrade it to bring Ohana out of its current PC isolation, but the hardware to do so isn't easy to come by (money, govt. bylaws and environmental laws currently blockade the process) and is dependant on the company proving there is the demand to support the expensive equipment. He also occasionally takes on white knight hacking commissions (aka, hacking on purpose to find security flaws and telling said companies how to fix the holes before they're exploited) for local companies, and this has picked up speed since Epsilon joined him.

Personality-wise, he is every bit the lovable dork he appears to be. He's very well aware he's awkward, and has given up trying to be 'normal' - his embrace of his quirkiness makes him kinda' cool in his own right anyway. He's a meganerd online and frequents several trainer forums and chatrooms with the username "B1GK4HUN4". Despite not being a very adept trainer himself, he is thoroughly interested in the people who are skilled in battling and somewhat of a general fanboy for battles.

It is due to this that he met Taz through the forums (going under the 'secret' username 'ittybittyskitty') and when they realised who the other was, they established an offline friendship very quickly, with Initiative offering to try and help sway the local govt. into accepting the PC System upgrade operation.

As a short, additional note, the boy is quite long-sighted, but has taken to his situation with aplomb. He has rigged into his glasses into a rudimental 'smart-glass' variant, giving him a HUD with stats on whatever, whenever. For formal situations, he trades the dorky glasses for contacts, which really seems to be a hit with the ladies (not that he knows how to talk to the females of the species yet, but one step at a time, right? XD).

Digi - Well-mannered and a quick thinker, this Eevee is the perfect partner for a busy young man like Mattie. He was a gift from the legendary computing guru Bill, who met the boy at a conference over a year ago now. Bill was impressed with Mattie's raw talent, but figured he didn't get out much - Digi is an excellent reason for the boy to get out of the computer lab and be social, and now it's finally paying off as Mattie is finally making friends outside of his chatrooms.

Epsilon - This is the very same Porygon-Z that Taz was running on her roster until recently. They two trainers met via local forums and have met several times in person since the Valkyrie Tea Party. Epsilon seemed to take quite a liking to Mattie right away, and found great joy in working with the boy's advanced coding, prompting Taz to release Epsilon into Mattie's care permanently. Of the Porygon-Z's seen in the local databases, Epsilon's AI seems to have developed the most personality of any of his kind, which a bit of a double-edged sword - He 'thinks' closer to a human, and can make some of the extremely illogical intuitive leaps humans are well-known for, but is prone to goofing off at times, which is most evident in the form he takes online; the generic Anime Ninja, thanks to his love affair with all kinds of anime.

That said, he's serious when it counts, and is loyal to both his trainers, current and past, so is often seen flicking between the two, either to muck about or deliver messages.
