Meet Cardicus! Red warrior of mighty Magic!!
Part of a promo thing we've been doing recently around work, and I really enjoyed making this card armour, modelled by my awesome co-worker Sam. I thought it was just so neat that I wanted to show it off to all of you guys.~Cannibalcartoonist made the wonderful shield for us and came up with the name as well.
And don't worry MtG players, we only used commons and a few lands, and they were all free.

I saw this and at first i was like "OMG THE CARDS D8" but then i read your artists comments and everything was better.
It all looks amazing though! (and it makes me wish my brother was here so that we could play Magic and i could whip his butt with his own deck!)

I was a bit hesitant about attacking the cards myself, but once I got into it, it was really quite fun and a good craft thing to do, getting me away from the laptop for a solid couple of hours.

Cardicus (Legendary Creature - Warrior) costs (5)(R)(R)(R) to cast, P/T is 6/6, Haste, Vigilance.
Cross Shield is (2)(B)(B) to cast, (2) to equip, "Equipped creature is indestructible".
