If we turn back time, would we meet againwhere the future shines into forever?
I originally drew this with the intention of giving it to someone as a Christmas gift but then I uhh, kinda couldn't give off the same message as this was supposed to at first... I don't even think that was a valid explanation, but nonetheless, I need feline practice and I do believe I did pretty well on this anatomy. It also gave me lighting practice and I do believe I like this very much. <3
I like cheetahs.
Yeah, let's go with that.

Inbetween the cheetahs you see the heart of light- that is a great touch too! You could make the spots dofferent shapes on the cheetah standing up though but that hardly stands out. Apart from that I'd call this pretty perfect!

This is so cute!, i really like the colors and how this looks so realistic. I absolutely love the background, it's very pretty. I noticed that in the middle of the nuzzling cheetahs, it kind of creates a heart like shape. Usually with cheetahs you cannot tell the girl from the boy, but the way you have drawn the body shape, and the position there are in (like the male cheetah is standing up), i can easily tell which is which. First of all I find the composition balancing and the color pallet absolutely stunning and well rounded, kudos to that my friend!
I can definitely see your growing style in the faces, but I feel their bodies could be a little longer (especially the one standing). In making him longer you can emphasize their slender body more, I was once told to exaggerate on some minor details to really make certain features jump out (sometimes being too subtle (even when a detail is subtle such as muscle) can make an image appear flat).
Speaking of flat, I feel the spots could be more varied in size, if they appear equally sized in the reference photos (if you're using them) here's where you can apply the advice I just typed earlier - emphasize and enlarge the spots towards corners (joints, etc). It looks like you are doing that on the cheeks (the largest being toward the highest part of the cheekbone (which is closer to the viewer.)) I would definitely think of gradually enlarging spots toward the rear and at the dock of the tail since the tail so quickly is dotted with broad stripes.
Overall I really am feeling this piece and the warmth you have captured in it. The light is brightest between their bodies and since I LOVE symbolism I'll babble a little here since it excites me that I see so much of it in here!
I love how they form a heart and the light is brighter there. Since it is obvious that these two cats like (or more than that) each other it is emphasized by the standing cheetah's attempt at closing the space between them (making its heart closer to the laying cheetah) and the laying cheetah is accepting his advance with an affectionate nuzzle, so her heart obviously didn't turn away ^^
The grass in the foreground could be a little clearer, but I can see why you made them that way.

I enjoy the balance of their yellowish fur, the purple/red sunset, and the blending that the colors do. You have a good handle on color, and your lineart is very clean. This is just genuinely an incredibly well drawn, colored, and extremely cute picture!
Your grasp on anatomy needs a tad bit of work, but whose doesn't? I myself am far from perfect anyways.
