sorry I've been leaving you guys hanging about it, but it's been..years since my last update..and I am just not feeling the desire to go back to it anymore. So from here on Kiara's Reign in officially cancelled, I am not going to continue it anymore, too much drama, too many fanbrats, too much theftnow this doesn't mean I'm not going to draw lion king anymore, every now and then maybe I'll draw something, and so please don't use Koda, Asha or Leah without my permission, they are still my fancubs

I just came back into the lion king and deviantart after all this time, and I know all about the lisa drama (i used to be akindlia on here, I was one of the OG’s lol), and it’s sad to see your love of the lion king killed by all these nasty people in the fandom. Discovering your art when I was 13 was what inspired me to draw lion king and have my own TLK oc’s in the first place, I learned to draw TLK because if your art, hell my fancub was created for your contest and I fell in love with her and made her own story and all. I’m now 18 and still love your TLK art, it will always have a special nostalgic place in my heart. I’m so happy to see your new stuff too, the undertale and my hero acadamia is super cute and refreshing to see!
I just wanted you to know that even though the comic won’t ever come back, it touched my heart and was a huge inspiration for my lion king art. I’m just happy I got to read it at all, your fancubs are adorable and iconic, your story was remarkable, and I hope that someday you take them out of storage because I and so many people would love to see them again. You're an amazing artist in so many aspects and you have an incredible gift. You’re amazing, TC, you inspired me at 13 and you still inspire me today at 18.

Aww... That's too bad. Ya know I heard so much of this story and I looked it up. Eventually I made it and found it. I waited through every ad to see what's going to happen next. The story had me on the edge of my seat!
Where to begin...
Leah is my favourite. I love her. She's such a sweet girl! Also while she like Simba, you can tell she's Kovu and Kiara's cub. She is amazing.
What can I say about Asha... I just loved her as well. I liked the part she protected Leah when she was made fun of. She's such a boss!
Koda is so adorable! He's cute but yeah... He did choose his friends over his sisters. There was quite too little of him in the story, I would like to see more.
Mala is... Undescribable. She's such an enthousiastic and active cub! I burst out laughing at the point she was watching Leah when she woke up. Freaky way to wake up. *shudders*
I feel bad for poor Leah... Will she ever get back home? Will she ever see her family again? Who's the leader of the Mountain Pride? Why he despises the "royals" that much? What is Chiku's story? Where did she come from?
So many questions...
Sorry for this extremely long comment, just I wanted to express what I think of this wonderful story. I haven't seen something that good in a long while. Your art is simply the best!
Would you mind if I wrote a novelization of this and then what I think that happened next? This story is too good to be left like that.

Like others have said, a short summary would do it!
I know a few people that like me have watched TLK anywhere between 100-1000 times. That might seem silly to you, but what it means is that 68 pages of story and art that captures the heart of the original, while still being great in its own right (With characters I would have probably ended up liking more than the original cast) is plenty to get seriously invested.
I know you are an artist, not a writer, and it is true that a big part of the impact was caused by your art, but at this point, if you just point out the direction the story would go, imagination will do the rest!

I'm really sorry that all of that happened to you and even sorrier to see the comic end too soon! But I have always LOVED how you made a main character have a physical handicap that she not only never gets her down, but that she somehow seems to overcome. I have fibro... and a comic, too. It's hard for me to find the energy or inspiration to work on it lately, so I can understand some of your frustration. You're Lil Leah has been a good role model for me since getting diagnosed, so I look forward to seeing her again!

I respect your decision on this matter, and it is a real shame because you have great potential here to make a really great story. Sucks that people are people and steal your work but call it theirs. I am going to miss it and will never know where the story will go, but i respect your choice. Keep up the good work TC-96. You are still a very talented artist. I feel people may do this to me when i promote my own story, Tales of Justice.

well when you have a person constantly steal from you for seven years, then have continuous recolours and thieves pop up three times a week if you're lucky, then have a stalker harass you for half a year threatening to dox you, encouraging other people to steal from you, tell you to kill youtself, or threaten to come find you, kidnap you and rape you, and make you an art slave if you don't continue it

I didn't mean to say that your reasons were asinine, I'm just saying that almost everyone in this website that has made fantastic comics with amazing well thought out characters, gorgeous art, and a great concept ALMOST ALWAYS has to cancel it for almost all the same reasons and it's ridiculous.

Heya friend. Not that you did anything outraging, but allow me to point out a few things.
Same as TC, your wording tend to make it sound like you find the artists reaction ridiculous instead of the cause of their retreat. If that is the case, I would like to offer you a bit my though on it. Because you insist in saying that it is supposed to be harmless, but from the outside, it sound like a passive-aggressive hidden reproach. If your intention was simply to be sarcastic toward DA general environment, sorry, but it didn't really land well.
The reason for the cancellation of a work is ALMOST ALWAYS because the amount of effort put into it ends up not being worth the returned reward. So if a work you do for "technically" fun and free, ends up being not respected, cause you arm and stress and doesn't even give you a living, there is literally no point in continuing it.
The ridiculous part isn't that every fed up artists leave with the same reason, but that the systematic treatment they received isn't taken seriously. If ALMOST all artists quite because of the same reason, maybe there is pattern telling you that this shit isn't acceptable for anyone. So if that was what you intended to comment here, maybe rephrase your comment by talking about the shitty behavior artists like TC get for free, instead of making it sounds like the artists are the one with ridiculous behavior.
I kinda sense that isn't where you were going, so I am giving you the benefit of the doubt and concede you really didn't intend to insult anyone. But step back a minute and look at how you turn your though. It really makes it sound like your critics is directed at her and artists that are forced to quite doing something they like because people have zero common sens of art respect and think they are entitled to everything, even the artist life and decisions.
I have been supporting TC through out her months of harassment, just by one single person. Shit like that are draining, stressful. And disruptive in your work. Knowing that you put your effort, time, energy and health into something that will end up either get you threats or being stolen, you reach a limit of just pure "Enough".
So the term "ridiculous" might not be the smartest way to illustrate the situation, at least not how you presented it. It is a freaking serious matter. Saying it is just "Another day" mean you don't really care about the actual problem, and comment only on the symptom with no intention to be concerned about why it is even there. Plus with a nonchalant tone, making even sound like it isn't so much of big deal. While it is. Adding afterward that it is ridiculous, just rubs it even more. And pointing out that TC shouldn't take it to heart is even more dismissive of what she just went through and what others experience.
In all honesty, this is not about just doing an harmless comment about something that is very common. It is literally taking what is plaguing the art community and viciously draining artists from their joy of creating then relaying it as just a boo boo. Of course people that are touched by it will react negatively. When you are bites by thousand of mosquitoes to the point it is maddening and painful, hearing someone telling you "but it is just a mosquito" tend to piss you off. A lot.
I really hope you didn't mean to say it is the artists fault and ridicule to give up facing similar treatment. But if that is the case, well I am sorry you are thinking that and I really hope you will never experience such a treatment in your artist life.

Ah well I am just glad we come to an understanding. And how and why I write that much whelp, that just how I communicate. When I wrote it, it still seemed that there was a lot of confusion, not just from your message but the entire thread. So I put down everything that people reading our conversation could potentially brings up. You know how it is easy to start a fight on s comment section. Better have one long block than a hundred comments heading to the same goal. Also when your friend is annoyed, you tend to want to defend them. Especially when they are tired. Which is why as a friend that helped her through this mess and someone that I experienced similar story in a past, I tend to be very vocal about it. So my bad for the long thread.
Anyhow situations like that are indeed maddening. But I am hopeful that overtime some common sense will grow in the Internet community so that artists can do their best work without to worry about petty side events. Not going to happen anytime soon but hopefully it will.
