Description The first in the series is finally finished. Done with a restricted palette of light grey, grey, and black in Paint Tool SAI primarily. The text was added and edited a small bit in Photoshop just because it's easier for me to add text that way.
I don't really know what caused the idea to do a restricted palette series based on house colors for Game of Thrones but it happened and I got one down.

First up: Robb Stark. No particular reason really. I chose his title as King in the North instead of the Young Wolf to go above. The House words go to the bottom and I went with a sort of fabric texture for the background. Any other questions just ask.

Next Up: No idea really. Maybe Dany. There is a series of polls on my profile so if you want to see a particular character next go vote in the polls.

Do not trace, do not claim it as your own work, or use for commercial purposes unless you are the Game of Thrones people/ G.R.R. Martin. If you are go ahead just credit me for the drawing you own the character after all but if you're not then you have to ask to use it anywhere else. I appreciate manners and polite interaction.

Thank you to Charlie Samways for the Game of Thrones Text. The other text on the bottom is Optimus Princeps I think.

I appreciate faves of course but what I really would like is some actual feedback. Comments make me happy!

This is up on Tumblr already. I will usually post Works in Progress to Tumblr at least one day before to dA, and I post more Works In Progress to Tumblr overall

This is amazing, you've brilliantly captured his likeness! I especially love the shading, the contrasts between light and dark is incredibly effective.
If I have any criticism to give, it would be that given how bright the highlights are on the left side of his face, it seems that you have not added any highlights to his hair. Compared to the shading on his face, which is so deep and dynamic, his hair seems quite flat.
But otherwise this is a beautifully painted portrait, a brilliant representation of the king in the north!
