The main amphibious transport of the United States Marine Corps since 1972, these 30 ton beasts armed with a 50cal heavy machinegun and a Mk19 40mm grenade launcher are able to get ashore to quickly unleash its payload of Marines from its rear drop ramp, armed to the teeth.

I do not envy the 20 Marines stuffed into it though. From the few articles that I've read about it in my research, it sounds like a miserable ride for its passengers from ship to shore.
Just figured it'd be a welcome relief for them to be allowed to stick their heads out, and to be greeted by some fantastic beauties on their way to wherever.
