Fun.Β  Bone up on the U.S. M36 'Slugger' tank destroyer, which had a 90mm cannon. They did a lot to stop the Tigers, Panthers, and the T-36s in Korea. Small, fast... HUGE gun.

I don't recall any battlefield reports of UN forces encountering Tigers and Panthers in Korea. And I do hope you meant to say T-34s, which the NorKs did use and the American M36s had no difficulty with dealing. I wouldn't consider the M36 to be "fast", though its no slouch either.

Panthers, Tigers, when they met them, obviously WWII ETO.
T-34s (You're right) in Korea, when they met those.

Fast compared to a Tiger at least, 'ticularly the later models on the Sherman chassis.

it excelled at its role, I think, with its decent blend of mobility and sufficient firepower to blow up soft targets.

and most importantly it carried radios

i see what you mean, but i don't think you exaggerated that much, i mean that's a 5 inch cannon, about the size of the cannon on a Arleigh Burke, or one of those old Fletcher classes. And i cant imagine going against a jagdtiger in my chaffee. i'd be game to fight an E100 tho. i couldn't pen, but he can't depress enough if i get close enough.
