Description To all who served,
To some who gave all.
Thank you

Hope I got this done in time. Who knew how satisfying it was to paint a field of poppies?

A moment of silence indeed. Splendid work. I should have seen this much sooner.

A moment of silence and a resolve to not repeat past mistakes, to abandon wanton violence and work together for the good of all

And I see by your grave stone you were only 19
When you joined the glorious fallen, in 1916
Well I hope you died swift and I hope you died clean
Or William Mcbride,
Was it slow and obscene.

a moment of silence is fitting, to think of those who gave their lives and honor the lives lost not by avenging them, but to live your lives as they hadn't been able to and more importantly, that they did not die in vain by doing what we can to end such wasteful violenceΒ

"In Flanders fields the poppies grow
Between the crosses, row on row."
- A poem from long ago, about "The War to End All Wars."

Very nicely done, Thom.

In Flanders Fields, the poppies blow, between the crosses row on row, that mark our place and in the sky, the larks, still bravely singing fly, scarce heard amid the guns below...

Great contrast between the poppies and the soldiers

Perhaps someone should come up with Spring camouflage, to help soldiers blend in with the blooming flowers

Haha, it's already been invented. It's called sun dresses...

That'd actually be pretty awesome though, having an entire army dressed in Tulip camouflage xD

Great picture, any advice with figure drawing or anything that could help me get better at figure drawing and the facial features? I like you're style, not realistic not too cartoon but just right like a comic almost. I really want to make my own comic about a conflict. Would be pretty cool. Great piece, it has a great mood set to it!

I know you must hear this often, but the best advice will always be to practice.Β
my "style" takes many queues from other comic artists that i admire and follow, but eventually i start to develop my own feel and look.Β
would help to see what you've done or to see what your "style" is, but until then...

Oh I am slowly getting some stuff done. I do a LOT in my sketchbook, around christmas I will get a tablet with the Autodesk Sketchbook app so I can paint and such on it. Would be a lot more worth posting on here than my drawings.

as long as more people learn about and understand the cost of such wars, then there is better hope for the future
