Inktober 7‘Was supposed to be a turkey shoot. Just didn’t know we’d be the turkeys.’
“Don’t. We don’t look back. A mission goes south, we leave it behind us.”
‘Just like we left those bodies behind.’
This was based on Inktober 2018 Day 7 prompt "Exhausted". Inspired from an issue in "The Activity" series by Nathan Edmondson & Mitch Gerads, it's a powerful scene showing the consequences and difficult life of special operations forces, that they aren't invincible and only human.

It needn't have been for them if they were prepared, but as they say "No plan survives first contact".
