Like many other people online, I couldn't but notice some of the visual similarities between Inception and the newly released teaser trailer for Doctor Strange.

I thought the exact same thing.
I even thought I saw the legendary logo in a tile.

Yeah, I saw other people mentioning the Legendary logo. But after watching IGN's trailer breakdown , I have to agree that it seems to be a depiction of the Tesseract. I'd rather they don't tie Doctor Strange's powers to the Infinity Stones, but logistically it's the most efficient way of introducing another stone before Infinity War.

Thanks. I had thought about adding it, but decided not to. It doesn't appear in the trailer itself, although I'm not sure if that's an intentional omission for plot purposes or simply unfinished CGI.
If it's the latter and is amended in a future trailer, I'll try to remember to come back and add it in
