Saw Man of Steel last night, so thought i'd upload some sort of superman piece.

Man of Steel poster in the style of the 1987 Superman movie.

Never really been much of a superman fan, but the trailers had got me pretty intrigued and interested. Unfortunately i was kinda disappointed after seeing the film. One of the biggest problems i had was the non linear narrative, which felt rather clunky and clumsy at times. I think this could have been handled better. Some of the editing and cuts also seemed odd at times, particularly the oil rig scene at the beginning.

The action scenes were also pretty confusing at times, due to how close and how shaky the camera was. This probably wasn't helped by how close we were sitting. The audio was also rather overpowering during some of the action. It's probably the only time I've sat in the cinema and actively thought about how ridiculously loud the audio was.

General Zod wasn't as menacing as I had hoped, partly because Micheal Shannon seemed to over act a few scenes. But also because Faora, to me, was more sinister and ruthless. I also liked her action scenes better than those with Zod.

Overall i think it wasn't as good as it could have been, or as good as i thought it would be. However it was still enjoyable, and might even be better on a second viewing.
