Description
For the Speed and Design Internal Contest!!Amsel is German for Blackbird
The Amsel is driven by four in-wheel electric motors while the central compartment houses the battery pack. 80-hp
electric motors have been made, so if the car were to use these it'd have 320hp. The two-piece Carbon Fiber reinforced plastic body is light, simple and aerodynamic.
Spoilers youd be replaced by a inner air path that is expelled up, creating downforce; not as effective as spoilers, that'd require more driving skill.
Well that's about it!

The downforce is through the car.
The air flows in through a front intake and is expelled upwards around the battery pack. Don't know if it's enough but eliminates the wing

Hm .. maybe, well it's a 4wd ...
...maybe it could use some wings, anyway the concept is there ^^

How asymmetric is the cockpit? I think Indy-style race cars are limited as to how far off-centre the cockpit can be. This was imposed after Smokey Yunick built a car with a body with no cockpit and a sidecar-like outrigger with the cockpit in it...

man does it look asymmetric? I wasn't supposed to be, it is right on the center, a little to the front; the battery pack goes in central position lika a engine would.
I had never seen that Smokey Yunick car! crazy stuff!

It looked like the driver was on one side and the part with the stripe was on the other.
Optical illusion, I guess...
I remember seeing that Smokey Yunick car in either a Popular Science or Popular Mechanics magazine. I haven't been able to find either a picture or a reference online. Then again, I can't find a picture or a reference online for the Mazda E-Go concept car either.
