What? I have a tradition to maintain, the end of a sketchbook gets a butt-shot. So here, an obscenely clean butt shot.

Lessons Learned - Yeah, I tried to learn how to draw MLPs. This really shouldn't be a surprise. I'm amazed at how HARD it is to draw the heads right tho... you'd think something that simple would be easy. >.< Also, spend some time learning how to draw a braid, those look TERRIBLE. >.<

Nothing to do with furries on the pic, but MLP. And if anything, the picture is less blatant than some shots taken right from the show.

I know what you mean about learning to draw the MLP's. I just wanted to draw *anti* MLP's but I had to draw the original's first. Yep. Not as easy as it looks.

The head in particular requires one line in a series of S curves from what I remember.
I'm pretty sure the frontal three quarter view is a template since that is the one they use over and over and is *exactly* the same for almost all of them.

Some of it is they're also so COMPACT as well. Their body has everything tucked in very close... and those massive eyes are tough without making them look like baby deer.

I am *still* trying to find my sketches...unlike yourself my sketches are in random books all over the place and I was in my MLP phase a few months back. I do remember mastering the head/eye/body of the three quarter frontal look after quite a bit of study. The trick *is* the eye/muzzle contrast. The muzzle being quite blunt and un cute while the alarmingly *huge* eye is the reverse of the usual manga eye...wide at the *back* of the head instead of near the inner face.
Then when you think you've solved that...unless you get the pupil *just* right...they take on a sly and evil countenance just without one even trying...or maybe that was me. cuz I ended up with a whole bunch of sly and nasty looking MLPs that were otherwise perfect except for these nasty looking eyes.

As strange as it sounds, It got it's hooks into me. I've been really enjoying the show honestly. And yeah, tho if I ever did Tasha as a "real" MLP style, I already have in mind what her mark would actually be.

Is this Tasha in MLP from? She looks very cute!
I'm not sure the braids are a good fit for her. The seem a little out of place. Of course if that's how she wants her mane and tail to look, who am I to argue.

Meh, it was a momentary inspiration to draw it. If I do Tasha "fore real" in the new MLP style, I plan to flesh it out better and revamp her to actually fit it. But these 2 pics struck me as funny, so I did them.
