Something I was thinking when I was watching The Good Dinosaur. It was a good film, but it does have it's problems that I do agree with some reviewers. Mostly the cartoony designs on the dinosaurs feel a little out of place with the realistic looking environments(Though mostly a nitpick to be honest). Here, like some artists, I decide to draw the characters in a slightly more realistic look. Obviously I'm not the first, but I thought I might as well do my own take.

It's a shame these two didn't make it into the final movie, along with the two ankylosaurus characters, Jack and Vivian and Mary Alice the Stegosaurus. Had so much potential, but were instead passed off as action figures, so they are not completely lost characters.
Although, Will's model was used in Inside Out as a dinosaur statue before they settled with a Styracosaurus character named Forrest Woodbush for the Good Dinosaur.
And I think they were excluded from the film, due to how much expensive detail was put into the movie and how much terrabytes were used to make it.

True. Though the Ankys and Stego did appear in a deleted scene where originally Arlo was waiting for his dad to come back, only to see the other dinosaurs that were rescued by Poppa Henry from the flood. But they implied that he didn't make it himself.

And yes, the cartoony style does make it look like they jumped straight out of a children's picture book. But I like the style anyway, because the big eyes on Pixar's characters is what gives them their own unique brand identity. And it didn't work much for a drama film, as they look a bit more comedic. Sure there is some comedy in it, but not as much as other pixar films.
But I still put it in my top favourite pixar films, somewhere between 1-5. And I think Dinosaurs and Pixar were a perfect combination.

Also, there was also supposed to be a young Parasaurolophus character as well. There was concept art of that character in the Art of the Good Dinosaur.

I remember there was also this other deleted scene where a new born Well was snatched up by a dimetrodon and poppa Henry stopped that greedy synapsid with his tail whip.

The chance of that is pretty slim since they said they'll stop doing sequels after Toy Story 4.

Sad I know, but we do need more originality. Even though when you get older you just probably don't feel like checking anything new anymore. Though it's not necessarily true, but some of us are like that.

The truth is I just want to see people giving their dinosaurs the same colors that I give mine, especially in movies and video games.

True, but it would get repetitive if dinosaurs were all the same colors. Though some had preserved pigment cells in the fossils to tell what color dinos were. Though I like the Blue Trike and the Green T-Rex, but I do like when other artists give it more different colors. T-Rex also looks good in gray, brown, black, blue or red. And the Trike would also look good in green, brown, gray, purple or red.
