Like, seriously, around the same time as the Sequel trilogy, Disney was making EXTREMELY positively-received animated movies like Zootopia, Moana, and Encanto! Sure, RBTI and Raya’s ratings soured over the years and Strange World was barely promoted but Frozen II was written to the best of the writers’ abilities with the time constraints put on them and over in Pixar, they were still making some well-received movies like Coco and Soul, and Cars 3 is considered by many to be one of the best non-Toy Story Pixar sequels. Some, like The Unlucky Tug, consider it to be on par with some of Pixar’s classics! Also, at that time, the MCU wasn’t being rushed like what Bob Chapek was doing with Phase 4. Just like WDAS and Pixar, Marvel Studios was allowed by Disney to have talented creators run wild with the movies! If Disney really mandated that the Sequel Trilogy was written like it was, it really would have been over a decade since they last made ANYTHING good. And, if you say my arguments are invalid because “aNiMaTiOn Is FoR kIdS”, then F*** all the way off.
