Well deserved Tracey - but then I think you deserve a DD for all your fractals!

thats cool. great concept. that looks like something that i would attemt to draw, then realize that i didnt really understand the concept that i was trying to pull off, then id quit. haha.

im just curious, ive never done fractal art with an actual fractal art generator program, but how much of an idea do you have of what the peice will look like when you go to create it? i know its based off of formulas etc, but do you just shoot in a formula and see what you get??? just wondering.

I tend to start with an open mind when I work with Apophysis... start tweaking and see where it takes me...

that sounds fun. maybe i should invest in some fractal software sometime...

Apophysis is free... you can get the installable 2.02 version from [link] - and you can get the latest beta version from [link]

Enjoy!

Sure did! And it wasn't even very hard to do...

EqualibriumX [2007-07-24 12:59:49 +0000 UTC]

I'm guessing the brand new rectangles function was involved? That's awesome, it has the "smoothe" and controlled look of something made in Ultrafractal, which is what makes it really stand out for me. Doing that kind of thing in Apophysis is HARD!

My hat's off to you!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

tdierikx In reply to EqualibriumX [2007-07-24 20:32:29 +0000 UTC]

Actually, it was made by tweaking the results of the Technica (juliascope) script from *CabinTom - the parameters are below if you'd like to see how easy it actually was...
