Description
To a degree I feel like I missed out on something huge, because of a lot of what David Bowie was notorious for happened before I was born. I was 6 years old when Let's Dance came out, and I remembered his work with Labyrinth and later Moulin Rouge. But I missed out on really being influenced by him. Instead I was influenced by those who were influenced and inspired by him like Culture Club, Duran Duran, and even a few friends of mine that were prominent in the 80s New Wave scene in Toronto.
Looking back at it, Bowie was amazing. Like really amazing. he made a mark and affected so many people and the music scene as a whole. Which is where this picture comes from. Peter Venkman from Real Ghostbusters was designed after Roxy Music's frontman Bryan Ferry. Roxy Music came out roughly the same time as Bowie hit his stride in the mid-70s, and the two not only headed up the glam rock movement, but looked to each other for musical influence and respect.
Even in my favourite cartoon character, Bowie still managed to be a part of its history and equation.
Godspeed, Starman.

You should see the "1980-Floor Show" TV special Bowie made back in 1973. Β We watched it on RooCam last night, and I forgot how good it was -- both for the music and for (what was at the time) some very daring visuals and costumes. Β He was that kind of artist.

I was thinking a similar idea like you with all four Ghostbusters charachters. RIP David Bowie.
