Personality:
Positive >
>> Friendly> Wavesong is in one word- charming. He is always seen with an easy going grin, and is always a warm figure even during the darkest times. He is a genuinely happy character that loves to be around others and ensure everyone is having the best possible day.
>> Enthusiastic > Wavesong is always eager to please, and is always ready to go. He's rather energetic, and seems to be able to keep busy for hours, even on simple tasks. He gives his all into everything that he does without complaint, and is always ready to volunteer to help someone out, even if the job is unpleasant.
>> Compassionate > This tom is very emotionally aware of other's feelings and always tries to reach out when someone is having a bad day. He is always a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear when it is needed, and he is always ready to drop everything and help out a friend (or stranger) when necessary.
neutral >
>> Protective > Wavesong is quick to jump in in the defense of others, even complete strangers if it seems like they might be the underdog in the situation. He has a bit of a soft spot for those in a tough situation, and isn't above helping non-clan cats-- as long as it wouldn't hurt his own clan of course. He seems to think of others first before the consequences.
>> Affectionate > He is very touchy feel-y, mostly with his friends, but he is definitely a "huger"-- sometimes being a little too affectionate with strangers. He tends to think he is closer to cats than he actually is.
>> Optimistic > Wavesong is an optimist to a fault, even when things look bleak, he tries to see the bright side in every situation, even if it isn't realistic or helpful. He WANTS to see the best in everything and everyone, lending to his gullibility.
negative >
>> Gullible > Common sense is something this tom lacks. He generally things the best of others, even when he probably shouldn't, and generally takes what other's say at their word. Of course, he won't hurt anyone, or put anyone in danger, but he tends to think everyone has everyone else's best interest at heart, even when that is clearly not true.
>> Brash > Wavesong doesn't always THINK before he acts. He is quick to react, especially when someone is in danger, or when it seems like there is a good time to be had. He isn't always super reliable, and can be a bit forgetful at times and sucks at prioritizing his duties.
>> Forgetful > Wavesong has a tendency to shirk his duties quiet by accident. He is easily distracted, especially by others, which often means he can get wrapped up in conversations, leaving dens unmade, and prey undelivered. He means well, but his air-headedness can be very frustrating.
History:
Kithood 0-6 moons
Wavekit was born one cold leaf-bare's night to Emberflame and Mountainsong. The two had been trying to have kits for some time, but as they had grown older, it became more and more difficult for the pair. They had been close as apprentices, and become mates as senior warriors much later in life and had decided to start a family, however it seemed for a long time that it just wasn't in the cards for the two. However, little, or not so little, Wavekit and [SIBLING] changed all of that for them, they quickly became the light of his parents' lives. Wavekit was an easy kit, he never fought with his brother and always was eager to make friends with everyone in the nursery. He was easy going, not prone to fighting or arguing, even when goaded into it. He was happy enough to play the roles others didn't like and was always to play any game that was suggested. He was the modal kit that just wanted to enjoy the easy days, even if it meant being cooped up because of all the snow. On the occasion he and [SIBLING] were allowed outside when the weather was cold, Wavekit LOVED the snow, any game they could think up to play in it, he was all the more excited for. He was disappointed when the seasons changed and the weather warmed, though new-leaf brought new excitement! He loved chasing crickets and would spent his days bouncing about the clearing trying to bring them back to show one of his parents. Soon, the kits in the nursery were becoming apprentices, which left Wavekit and [Sibling] as the only kits for a little while. Again, Wavekit didn't seem phased, happy enough to wrestle with his brother and make games for just the two of them. By then, Wavekit had long since decided to train as a warrior, he liked the idea of being able to protect his clanmates, and want too be a big strong cat one day- something he was already well on the way to, having grown larger than most kits his age and showing no chance of slowing down.
Apprenticehood 6-12 moons
The day came when Wavepaw finally became a warrior apprentice, he was sad to leave the easy going days with his brother behind, but the world was also so exciting! He was assigned to Dappledrop, an older, burly she-cat who he admired, though quickly clashed with. Wavepaw found it difficult to focus on his tasks, often wondering off when he had chores to play with the kittens in the nursery, or to watch some of the older apprentice's practice their battle moves. He had to be watched almost constantly, or he was likely to get distracted. Dappledrop found his air-headed and forgetfulness frustrating and difficult to curb, while Wavepaw thought she was simply trying to ruin his fun. However, after some diligent work, the tom started to learn he couldn't just shirk his duties without getting in trouble. He tried his best to stay on task, though, on occasion, he was stile libel to forget, leading to a few nights without dinner. However, when Dappldrop did learn how to capture the tom's wondering attention, she found that Wavepaw was actually a very dedicated tom! He was hard working, and would throw his all into battle training-- though he had a tendency to blabber on about menial things to entertain himself. She tried to curb that to, but holding his attention AND keeping the patrol mostly silent she found to be near impossible, in the end, she found teaming up with other mentors and apprentices seemed to lead to the best results, as when he was around his peers, he seemed more keen on his lessons when others were also learning-- especially when that om was his brother. It became clear very quickly the tom was very eager to help those that were struggling in their training and could actually be tricked into paying better attention when he was helping out another clanmate. It was odd, but it seemed the tom actually learned better in a group than alone, something Dappledrop capitalized on whenever possible.
Wavepaw really did try his best, and he truly enjoyed climbing. He picked up on the skill his mentor was best known for, attacking from above. His broad build made climbing easy, and the challenge easily held his attention, while the views were often enough of a goal to drive him up-- or pouncing on an unsuspecting cat from above. During his later days as an apprentice, none of his denmates were safe from a surprise tackle from above, usually ending in a giggling fit between the lot of them.
Adulthood 12+ moons
Wavepaw eventually earned the name Wavesong, for his outgoing and cheerful personality. He was glad to be thought of as bright and bubbly and was more than willing ton be a needed friend to anyone in the clan. Even though he was more aware of his tendency to get distracted, he still had a habit of wondering off, causing many other warriors to but heads with him, believing him little more than an absent minded apprentice, however, he just had this ability to wiggle his way into people's lives. He was so friendly and kind, other's couldn't help but be friends with him. He was still close with his parents, though they had retired due to advanced age that that point-- and he and his brother were close as ever. Life had settled into a retinue for the tom, an easy enough life where he could do what he wanted-- keep the clan safe, until one day, the cat he had never had to worry about didn't return home after a storm. They found Eaglestar the next morning and Wavesong was devastated by the loss, confused and wondering what he could have done to stop it. Fallenstar made an announcement soon after-- a patrol would be venturing across the landbridge to explore the mainland.
Wavesong was one of the first to volunteer, wanting to protect his clanmates that would be wondering into a certain death trap-- though the tom never really saw the irony in placing himself in the same situation.
