The blue markings on his body are bioluminescent, meaning they glow. This isnt something he can control.
The fingertips on his right hand were injured in an accident and he had to use the skin of a yellow surgeon fish to heal them.
His tongue is blue.
He spends so much time on land that his tail has started rotting and roses growing. He covers up the rot with fresh fish skins and bandages.
Lives in a house in the forest with an underwater cave system that is linked to the sea and a small saltwater lake.
A redish Corn snake lives in the same house as him and Azul has fittingly named him, Red. The snake comes and goes at will.
He never leaves home without the knife that got passed down to him from his father a long time ago. He uses it for skinning fish and carving.

Determined

Once his mind is set on something he will go to extreme lengths to do it.

One time vivvien told him about a shiny stone she had seen in a cave deep down on the bottom of the ocean. She hadnt gone all the way inside because it had been too dark, but later the shark had told Azul about it. He on the other hand isnt scared of the dark. Having a body that glows also helps. He swam to the cave and found the gem, nearly getting killed by a shark in the process of retrieving it.

Gullible

Azul is not the sharpest tool in the shed, but at least he is brighter than his female counterpart. Still, he is quite easily fooled when it comes to things he doesnt already know. He will believe you if you tell him that the world is flat.

Possessive and Jealous

Generally Azul is a sweet and caring tibumeru. He tries to help whomever needs him and he is not fond of violence. That being said, there are some things that might make him defensive or even angry. If you try to hit on his girl or talk trash about her he will turn from a bunny to a ferocious shark in 0-100. Jealousy is also a known problem of his, mostly connected to his girl but also earthly goods. Azul often catch himself in thinking thoughts of jealousy when he meets new people that has something he doesnt.

Greedy, Kleptomaniac

Azul likes collecting things. A little too much. Often his hands will move without him even thinking about it. Taking a coin here and a scarf there. Stealing isnt a very nice thing, Azul knows that, but it's like his hands live their own lives. He wont plan taking something, they just...find their way into his greedy fingers. Even if he feels guilty and bad for taking something away from others he usually wont give it back, not unless they notice. Then he's usually left with no choice. Fight or surrender. The coward in him will always go for the last option.

▌Home Location

He lives in a comfortable and fully functionable house out in the woods.
The elctricity has been cut off because no one pays the bills. But surprisingly enoug the water still runs.
The previous tennant had been an elderly human man whom Azul used to spy on.
Even if he is hesitant to humans he is also very curious.
The human died naturally and no one of his kin ever knew. Nobody came to check up on him either so Azul claimed the place as his own.
His home is right next to a large saltwater lake that is connected to the ocean by noumerous underwater caves. He still hasn't explored them all, that is more vivviens thing than his.

▌Hobbies

Wood and Bone Carving

Azul is often seen collecting bones from various dead animals, even Tibumeru and humans. The last two are only if he comes across a body. He always check if the person is really dead first. This doesnt happen too often luckily. Not many seem to die where he live. He use the bones and wood he collects for carving figures, jewellery and weapons such as speartips. He might even try to make useful items like spoons and bowls/ plates. Even if this is something he has done for years he still isnt too great at it. He finally manage to make a wooden shark figurines that actually look like sharksThe details arent great and he cuts himself rather often.
The ammount of accidents have gone down a lot since he first began. Still, cuts on his hands are a regular thing.

Gardening

At the back of his house there is a little garden that the previous owner used to take very good care of. Azul often watched him and what he did. He was amazed at how he managed to make nearly everything grow. Even food!
When the human died and Azul had moved in he decided to give it a go. He failed more than he succeeded and dusins of poor innocent plants were killed in the sharks experiments. Eventually he got the hang of it and started to enjoy it immensely.
Being able to bring life in that way makes him happy.
The garden is filled with roses, tulips, begonias and several large fruit trees that was planted long before he got there.

Collecting Beads and Items for his Hair

Azul loves finding things that can be used in his hair. He already have a large selection of beads, hairbands and old jewellery that he's stolen or fished out of shipwrecks.

They used to be very close as children but an unfortunate event got them separated. Azul just recently met him again, after 32 years. Their relationship is still very awkward and strained. Azul cant help but blame his brother for not finding him after the incident.

Vivvien - Girlfriend

The one he loves more than anything. He would do anything for her. She might not be the brightest, and have a terrible temper from time to time, not to mention how she always gets herself in trouble. But still, he couldnt imagine a life without her. He likes even the annoying bits. She accepts him for who he is. They are like ying and yang, complete opposites. But yet, they fulfill each other.

Gadara - Brothers Partner

Azul isn't quite sure what to think of this man. He seems dangerous and cold. Quite frankly he gives him the chills. Gadara and Phobos is a couple he wouldnt want to get in the way of if they were on the war path.
