Uh... you do remember that Celestia had to take over control of the moon for a thousand years, right?
She can probably do the same, if not better, due to the advantages she has over Luna. (You know, a bit of age, power, most likely loads more knowledge).

and luna LIVED on the moon for 1000 years, she had plenty of time to get to know the moon better than Celestia does as well as practice her magic. its not like she just sat there for all that time. AND the moon is luna's TALENT, just as Celestia's is the sun.
Celestia may also be able to control the moon, but in the end, luna will always be better at it. ^.6

Luna spent those thousand years being trapped inside Nightmare Moon and most likely tormented by her. I'd think it would be hard to pay much attention to anything with an angry demon just outside my door.
It's a miracle she wasn't a gibbering mess once NMM got defeated.
Well, Celestia ALSO had a thousand years to get acquainted with the moon, once things start getting cosmic and symbolic I doubt that the moon would just let itself be raised by just anyone, even if they had the power to do it.
And remember what they say about talent and hard work, don't wanna make such a mistake now do you?

alright, you have a point and i cant argue with that, im just a faithful follower/fan of luna, lol.
And yes, your right, it is with hard work that talent is gained, and luna has plenty of time to practice now that shes free and back to normal.
