okay, when I was drawing Aang, I tried going for a more detailed and stylized approach much like my other Avatar drawings. This drawing of Aang is acually a blend between TV show Aang, and the Aang from the movie we must not speak of. I tried looking at Shaolin and Tibetan Monks for Inspiration, for example, Aang's sash belt, rope sandals and staff are based on Shaolin Designs, and the Cloak and Buttons are based on Tibetan Designs. When I designed Aang's Glider, I based it off Ruyi Jingu Bang, the staff of the Monkey King (Sun Wukong) I actually wanted it to be more detailed, showing it as a delicate, detailed instrument, handcrafted by Monks.
