Hey, guys!!I'm sorry for being gone for so long, I decided to take the rest of the week and weekend to learn and study landscapes and composition. If I'm being completely honest, I didn't use my time very wisely and as a result there's something lacking in the landscapes I've been making. Despite this, I will continue and learn through practice throughout my week.
Which brings me to this month's (or potentially half of the month's) practice topic-- backgrounds! I figure if I'm going to draw characters I may as well have somewhere to place them, even if that's not exactly the direction I'm going to permanently be taking my art.
This picture I titled "Hope" because I made it with how I've been feeling about my art journey in mind. There is a lot lacking, a lot of empty space and room for potential, but in the end it's beautiful like that, too-- contentment but still a yearning for the light at the horizon, progress. Super overdramatic stuff but kinda therapeutic to make.

Anyway, that's enough ranting for now. Let's keep chuggin along through March! Honestly I can't believe we're almost here already! Spring is coming!!
