Description
Vanilla had to thank that kind male Vector for saving her from those dreadfully dark creatures. She had been separated from her daughter when the darkness fell and the world split apart, leaving her stranded. She was sure she was done for when the crocodile and his young gentleman friend Charmy had turned up and made quick work of those monsters.

"Why thank you Vector, I feared I would be gone also..." said Vanilla, smiling back at the reptile.

Charmy laughed as the reptile blushed at her soft words. "Well, little Cream was worried about you and we had to make sure that you were safe."

The mature rabbit was relieved to hear that her daughter was safe. "Tell me, where is my little girl?"

"Her, Sonic and Chip are fighting the monsters Miss!" chirped up Charmy with a grin. "They've got these cool blades that can defeat the darkness!"

Vanilla was worried at hearing that. Her little girl, fighting these monsters? Surely not? Fighting wasn't lady like at all...

The two must have noticed the distressed look on her face.

"Don't worry, Cream is a tough girl Miss! And she has Sonic and Chip looking out for her!" assured the hyper bee.

Vector nodded in agreement. "They've already faced tough foes, they're quite a team."

Somehow, Vanilla found the strength to smile. Her little girl was older now, she wasn't the tiny rabbit she had held in her arms in youth. She had to allow her daughter room to grow and find her purpose in this darker world.

"Of course...thank you boys..." she said to the two.

"Why don't you come back to our stronghold? Cream, Sonic and Chip visit sometimes, I'm sure she'll be happy to see you..." suggested Vector.

"I would like that very much..."

Backstory:
Vanilla and Cream were split up when the Heartless attacked their world. She wandered what was left of the world she was stranded on, running away from the Heartless pursuing her until Vector and Charmy saved her. They brought her to the Babylon Sky Deck where she lived, making snacks for Wave, Storm and Dr Eggman when they were hungry.

She keeps Cream's diary with her at all times, providing the three a save point and sometimes giving rare items in return for retrieving lost Chao eggs.

Artist's Note:

Vanilla's age is never made known I think, but she is quite older I believe since Cream is fifteen in this series. I didn't want to over-complicate Vanilla's outfit so I just added some extra detail to her original dress and change her hair a little.

I really don't think I'll be drawing Big, Vector, Storm or Dr Eggman because...well, I'm not good at drawing them!

The next stage of this project covers Birth By Sleep...the invasion of the Unversed!
