The echoing roar stunned them as Sonic, Chip and Cream watched the deranged Nobody madly claw and try to grasp the fading light of Kingdom Hearts. It seemed it was disappearing, and that Ilxemhsep would no longer be able to access its power."Is it over?" asked Cream, not sure whether they should continue attacking.
"FOOLS! YOU. WILL. PAY!" came a scream as sinister energy shot out of Ilxemhsep like savage electrical bolts. His body looked terribly mismatched, as if what remaining power he had left had made a shameful job of repatching his body back together.
"Not yet!" called Sonic, spotting that the crumbling ruins of Castle Soleanna were no longer falling but floating, somehow staying orbit thanks to the receding power of Kingdom Hearts.
"Follow my lead!" he said, jumping from his Extreme Gear and jumping along the pieces of rubble to reach the now serpentine looking Nobody.
Chip and Cream nodded to each other as they sped after the blue hero to make the final blow.
"You think I'm defeated! WRONG! SO WRONG! YOU'RE PLAYING RIGHT INTO MY HANDS FOOLS!" laughed the Nobody as the light descended with blazing force...

Well, all the Nobodies are finished. Is this the end of this crossover series...? Nope!
Of course not! Birth By Sleep and Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance have given me the inspiration to continue this series!
What is coming next...? You'll just have to wait and find out!

Well, as whole as Mephiles can get without Iblis to join with to become Solaris.

First. Good art. Second. Good story. Three. Great job on finishing this series. Four. I've loved this series from beginning to end (with one or two exceptions). Five. Him being in shadow's shadow is a brilliant call back to the game.
That being said, since Nobodies and heartless contrast each other, I think it would have been fitting if Mephiles' form actually become more mobian the more power he received.
I wonder if any of the destroyed nobodies would leave behind a Absent Silhouette. [link]

Of course, after this battle, this means Mephiles would be rejoined into a whole being as well.

Makes sense that a being as amorphous as Mephiles would have just as mutable a Nobody! Hopefully, though, this final battle won't have people crying out "That looks like a homing shot" every five seconds.
