Are you trying to download it on mobile? Phones and those things don't download as those devices can't support psd downloads, and will open a page similar to what you described. Try using a PC if so

I'm very sorry to bother you, but how do you edit them? for example, suppose I want to draw designs on these for adopts. How would i be able to change the colors without messing up the lines? Thank you in advance!

if you have photoshop or sai, you click the "download" option on the right and you will get a psd file that will give you access to all the layers c: so you'd be able to color-in the colored layer without out it messing up the lines <3

you need to download the PSD which usually work on drawing sites with layers
