Description
Another shot from the Stockholm-adventure this June: this was kind of the view that just kept me going and going and going!! And.. if somebody would have wanted to see it, they would have had to rise really early, for it was taken at 4:28 a.m.The photo has wallpaper dimensions, but I wanted to submit it under Photography!

I think You like photos with mirror images, but not usual mirror. This mirror it's water in some of your pictures I like them. This one is nice, but the horizon seems to be skew.

Yes, i love reflections! The following link is to one of my favorite reflection shots though (it is a little grainy, i was still learning how to use my digi-cam!) [link]
Yes, you are right about the horizon, I was careless there (plus, for some odd reason, I seem to have my perception of horizons skewed!). I'll watch out for that more (and if i have the time, fix this one! ).
By the way, you are also kindly invited to do such an ID! I'll definitely let you know when i get that portrait shot in!

Those reflections taken almost straight down are hard to get in the right light i think. I find that reflections usually work best when taken at a low angle. But then again, that leaves the high angle as a challenge to get it off right! (the reason for it being hard, is that you will have a 2-D reflection that is later printed on a 2-D photo... and that is I think hard to take advantage of)

Well, perhaps I'll try to do an ID similar to yours one day. But I'll try with other part of a body. Maybe my hand?^^

TeamBundy In reply to naturematters [2005-12-31 13:11:34 +0000 UTC]
hand is the natural other part to do it with (final part of ones body, just like feet and head), but it makes it difficult as you still have to hold your cam with the other hand and we only have two! Hmm.. .maybe if you put the cam on the floor and lie on top of it (head over the camera and your hands extended forward and you put the auto-timer)... maybe that would work and be also interesting! I don't know, just thinking out loud!

Nice reflection A bit static tho: you might wanna put the water line on one of the three horizontal divisions
(law of tiers
) But the reflection does balance it a bit tho

TeamBundy In reply to BunsY [2005-07-31 16:22:56 +0000 UTC]
Yes, just like photographing against the light is ill-advised, there is also that law of tiers (whose name of course I didn't know! ). I know what you mean, but somehow I have the feeling that even though it is a normal reflection / gorgeous sunset type of photo... there is something that still makes it like okay with going for the static shot... don't know for sure what it is: i think it is the fact that on a normal day, this place would maybe not be photographed... or maybe that I have really not seen it on any postcard!

Very nice.. I resize mine to 1000x950 approx and they usually fit a monitor.. I'm being plagued by bland blue skys like that at the moment.. oh for a dramatic cloud or three....

It'll be a trickle cause I have to frame them first and I'm away from home a lot this month.
I might go to NZ for the one month of summer.... we have 22 degrees here today in NSW in the dead of "Winter"

for one month of summer as in January? 22 in the middle of winter is really insane and outrageous! Even in Guatemala we have around 15 sometimes in "winter"
