Description
One of my favorite places to stand is directly under a tall architechtural structure and look straight up! For some reason, many people like to do this frequently as well, but they never take any pictures of it! This was taken on my trip to Munich in June 04 and this is the original framing of the picture: almost perfectly centered, something that is hard to do when the top of the dome is some 80-100 meters above you!Related content

saludos!

Great shot, looks almost like I'm looking at a kaleidoscope. The subject may be traditional, but the execution is very nice. It's a shame the edges are so full of digital noise, I think you could probably clean some of that out in an image editor.

Thanks for the visit, comment and... please tell me a little more about what "digital noise" is! Do you refer to how the pixels are more obvious on the edges? And.. how to clean them out with an image editor? (tools to use and so on.. like I told you before, I do not use one).
Actually, what is funny then is that this picture I did not take with a digital camera. Maybe "digital noise" has nothing to do with it coming from a digital camera! Looking forward to your reply!
I love to look up under things and get these kind of shots: i have one that is really cool from standing directly under the Eiffel tower!

Hmm, it's weird because it really looks like digital noise/grain. It's just pixels of random colors scattered around, they are usually caused by a low lighting (and thus appear on darker areas more easily). If it's not taken with a digital camera it could be something different altogether.
Most image editors have a function for clearing up noise and there are programs especially for that purpose, such as NeatImage and NoiseNinja.

Do you have many cathedrals in the US? Yes, when one studies facts in art-lessons, one enjoys the look of architecture so much more! I must say i also learned a little in school, but have unfortunately forgotten most of it, so now is your time to travel and see!
Yes, i really like to travel: haven`t been to THAT many places but... many places have at least something nice to showcase!

Well.. it would be funny to lie on the back on the floor.. IN A CHURCH!! I guess I would not do it though! Have you seen the church from "KΓΆln" in Germany? That one is really lovely, from outside that is: gothic stlye... and with two huge towers!!
I love churches too! Favorite destinations when I am travelling

We visited oh-so-many churches when we were in Rome They were so beautiful inside!
Not that they were ugly outside, no...

Did you also go to St. Peters cathedral.. to the top of the church? I hear that is quite an experience!! When I was in Rome.. i didn't go up there unfortunately! :S
There is this other big church, where the Vatican was before St. Peters cathedral that is quite impressive! i donΒ΄t know the name! Maybe someday you can show me your Rome gallery and take me o a rome tour, like you did with your last week!

Yes, we did visit St. Peters cathedral, and no, we didn't go up to the top. We visited so many churches that I can't remember their names and now I find that I took way too few pics of them...

Hej Hellie! Internet was dead in the morning, but I will be online -hopefully- tonight!
Did you have only a normal camera back when you were in Rome? I also realized when I just got to Germany, that I felt I had taken enough pictures, and after I developed them, i realized there were too few!! Now.. i am satisfied with the amount, but if I would have a digi-one: then I'd really go crazy taking pics!
π: 0 β©: 1
hellie-stock In reply to TeamBundy [2004-07-29 17:08:29 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I had my own camera (no-digi-one) with me, and the stupid thing puts red time of date in every pic! >.< I would like to post few more pics from Rome, but the date thing ruins it... And that is the reason why I went crazy after dad bought us a digi-cam!
I stole it! ^_^ mine, mine, MINE!!! ::hugs the digi-cam:: I really hope I can see you later online!
Though I have to let dad to do something on the comp... but after that I'm online again!

TeamBundy In reply to hellie-stock [2004-07-30 00:41:15 +0000 UTC]
Yes, and those numbers are so huge on the pictures!! I mean.. it is a good idea to be able to put the date and time on pictures.. but, isn't there a different way? Like with ultra small numbers in the lower right corner? I guess that is why those cameras went quickly off the market! (at least i hope!
)
Hehe, so the digi-cam is "your" cam, eh? I have a nice story to tell you, that may apply to you here regarding it being dad's camera but in reality it being your camera! Tell you when we are online, okay? just remind me pls!
