Description
Rouchgly 120m above the ground level is this view: the path leading to the top of the highest church tower of the world! Located in Ulm, the architecture of the supporting archs resembles that of spider's legs, which adds to the impressive height! In the middle are the final stairs located, wo which you can go up a further 20-30 meters and get an amazing view over the city... and from a point in the top of the church-tower... that down on the ground seemed to be slightly larger than a dot!Cropping made as the developing yielded some unexisting reflections on the side. The un-touched picture can be found in the scraps!
Update: further (perfect) cropping and frame thanks to

Yep, you have a lots of cool photos, but this one is absolutely my favourite.
The picture is so full of everyting but still very clear. The colours are magnificent too.
You took this picture just from a nice spot. The architecture just fits and makes this look very 3-dimensional, if you know what I mean
BTW: Is there a smiley in the window or are my eyes just playing some tricks on me?

Thank you for taking the time to go through my gallery! I am really glad to have written to you about "catching" your visit!
And.. i think I do see that smiley in the window too and I don't really know what that is! Maybe some subliminal message? I'll have to go there again to check it out! (and climb the 790+ steps!
)

i saw this one earlier but forgot to leave a comment!
so here it is:
this is really cool! The structure looks so thin in your "Outside Ulm" photo, but here it looks massive!

TeamBundy In reply to CwK [2005-07-26 10:29:45 +0000 UTC]
hey! Nice to read again from you! (checked your page, but nothing new thus far: busy? )
Yes, the overexposure in the "outside ulm" doesn't help the structure, but that one is also quite far away from the church (at least 300m away i would have to guess, probably more!), so that also puts into perspective the hugeness of the structure when up close (as in this one! ). But you are right and nice to point it out: made me realize it also!
See you around (and upload some! )

Wow, excellent shot I love the angle and composition, the cropping, whoever it's been done by really adds to the image's impact, as does the slightly grainy image and the perfect focal range used from the looks of it. Bravo.

You want to know something: I was almost certain that I was going to bring this one for monday! (but now I got already the best critiq, so... I'll go with another!
)
Thanks, this photo was taken on an analog film and then scanned (the grain) and I had initially cropped it but it didn't turn out that impacting, until ~Simbelmine say she could do it, and when I got it back, I was literaly shocked by how it looked! (and I took the original photo! ).

Awww, that is really very kind of you!!!! And I am especially glad that you liked the photo!
I once suggested one, but it didn't get chosen... i think I should also do that more often though! I think that not too many ppl do it, and there are really so many deserving ppl out there!
thanks again!

Yeah, I've suggested quite a few, even though I've been so disgusted with the things they feature on there (mostly nudes). I'd like to make people's day as much as is in my power though! Good luck, I hope it gets chosen.

Wow.....can't believe it. Such an awesome picture .... Honestly, this has me in awe! The fact that it's so high up makes it even neater. I really like the angle portrayed here and it doesn't seem like a better job of the framing could have been done. It's technical and gorgeous, I love it. Nice, very nice work!

Nope, thus far not many people have seen it I guess... a friend helped me with the frame (~Simbelmine check her out if you like real amazing manips!), and it was only after the framing that it got 2 more
I thank you very kindly for your reviews! I am sure that i will visit your gallery down the line again and comment again!

I really admire the bees: those hexagons are so original, perfect... unbelievable! I haven't seen the termite-architecture, but I think they specialize in tunnels, don't they? There was this museum I was in and they stated that most of the architecture that we now consider amazing or suberb (from mankind that is), is nature based!

Makes one wonder who's really the more intelligent, doesn't it? Bees can even flow their DNA to reverse or speed up aging when their hive is damaged and they need particular types of bees replenished. Amazing world. Much to learn.

Wow, you really know a lot about it! Nature I believe is truly amazing! and... in many ways they are so advanced and intelligent and much simpler than we humans... but I believe that it is us that we dig ourselves into a collective holes... an many times because of individuals (or small groups) with too much influence!
fortunately, we will always have nature to amazed ourselves!

Hello Marie,
are you a subscriber again?
You wrote to me in the last message about being smarter than the average blonde... well, I have to say that that is just a cliche about blondes being ... ehmm.. not intelligent... After all, Sweden and Norway for example are quite industrialized and first-world countries! Just had to say that!

One thing I noticed is that we (at least I) don't look up enough when being at places! When in a city, one usually just sees the first floor of buildings! And then... when one looks at panoramic photos, one is amazed at what there was above!

I like this version better tho Because on the other one you see some patches of sky, and so it kinda breaks the illusion of architecture, but in this one, it's all you can look at, and try to figure out what it is and how it's made

TeamBundy In reply to BunsY [2005-04-28 14:09:07 +0000 UTC]
That is a real good point! I had not thought about that... funny story about it is that it was until I saw the pic after I went there, that I noticed all the "legs"! When I shot it, I was just "wow-ing!" the view, but couldn't really discern what created the drama! (and I wanted to get to the top! ). Thanks for the lovely comment!
