So here's Elphie and Galinda in all their cartoonish glory.This of course is inspired by the musical, not the book. And when I think of the musical, I immediately think of Idina and Kristin. They're just so great together 8D Though Megan Hilty and Eden Espinosa rock my christmas stockings as well.
When I first drew this I was like "OMG I'm so pleased with this!!1!one!!". Then when it came to the painting part... "Let's just say ... I LOATHE IT ALL!" xD ... ... ... *cough* So, I didn't know what to do with the background, hence it just being all white. If anyone has any ideas, go ahead. I'll scrap the original pencil drawing in case anyone wants to mess around with it. Just let me know if you do
Galinda: Elphie, now that we're friends, I've decided to make you my new project!
Elphaba: ... You really don't have to do that.
Galinda: I know... That's what makes me so nice ... *pose*

Elphaba and Galinda belong to Gregory Maguire, so don't sue me.

I'm sad that I never got to see Idina and Kristen on stage, although from what I've seen from clips they were great. Megan Hilty and Eden Espinosa were great when I saw them though.

Neat! It sort of has a Disney-ish quality to it, I think. Elphie's skin's shade of green is bothering me - it seems like it should be a bit darker, but that might just be because of the colors surrounding it.
But anyway, I like it!
