Back in April, I was attending Sakuracon 2014 and commissioned a pencil sketch from the awesome artist Zearyu .

It was a spur of the moment thought to request a sketch of Satsuki Kiryuuin from Kill La Kill, but the sketch looked fantastic when it was finished by the next day. At the time, I asked if I could using the sketch for digital line art and color practice as I'm still not too confident with my own traditional line work. However, life, school, and other things quickly took hold shortly after that and the sketch lay dormant safely tucked away in a portfolio folder.

Fast forward to the beginning of October, and here it is. I recently discovered FireAlpaca for doing line work (far better than photoshop anyway, was pleasantly impressed), and then taking the lines and coloring through photoshop. For my first 'experiment', I thought I'd use the Satsuki sketch. I still think my coloring is lousy, but it all comes with time and practice.
