Description
A thank you drawing for of our favorite character Tayuya from the anime and manga Naruto.
Not too much to say except I really enjoyed working on this from start to finish. I'd like to line and properly color it eventually, but for now I shaded all of it in pencil.
Very much inspired from listening to 'I talk to the wind', by King Crimson. I tried to picture Tayuya playing to the music, and helped me imagine a subdued withdrawn side of Tayuya I wish existed, but unfortunately never saw.
Anyway, very fun and a pleasure to draw!

Thank you. It's hard enough playing a flute, let alone on one leg

It means a lot, what you said. so thank you And it definitely sums up what I was going for in the drawing. The idea that, like almost all the characters from this story, there is much more behind this bizarre flute playing misfit than what is shared.
This drawing has really helped me get back into practicing and improving my work, so i've been fond of the experience! :J

You even don't imagine how I like it! Tayuya looks here like a lonely wayfarer or ninja (of course she's already a ninja!), who's exploring new, unknown lands. She doesn't know what she could expect, but even if she finds an enemy on her way - she's not a helpless woman. She has many kind of weapons (including her flute) and of course her own strength!
In other words - excellent work!
