A 4th year at the College of Artistic Endeavors. His major is in special effects, both digital and for plays and such.

It is unknown whether the S. is actually his initial or if he just introduces himself with it to make him sound more sophisticated for fun.

Has been in a healthy relationship with his girlfriend, Yurei, for three years now.

The skateboard is his favorite vehicle of transportation.

Quite handy with computers.

Enjoys coming up with nicknames for people - except for Yurei. She's always just been 'Yurei' to him, and that's special to her.

Rather tall, so he comes off as intimidating.

Comes from a family that specializes in Necromancy. He rarely uses it, unless it's for some sort of special effect in whatever he's working on.

Sometimes wears skeleton face paint just to freak people out.

While he likes messing with people, he's not really fond of playing pranks.

Tried learning how to play music as a teenager, but he quickly discovered he was tone-deaf.

Yurei Endermall

Female (she/her)

23 years of age

A 3rd year at the same College of Artistic Endeavors. She's studying dance, in hopes of becoming a choreographer once she graduates.

Rarely wears her hair down; she prefers to either have it in some form of braid, ponytail, or bun.

Spent two years in high school as a cheerleader before deciding that she was tired of it the social stigma around it.

Has been in a healthy relationship with her boyfriend, Imri, for three years. Plans to propose once they graduate. He has no idea.

Can see and hear Ghosts, but other than that she has no magical ability whatsoever.

Works part time in the college bookstore.

She doesn't really like to read, tho.

Enjoys thrillers, but not full out horror movies.

Finds it hilarious that her bf is tone-deaf and tries to convince him to sing things for her just so that she can hear how badly it sounds.

He is unsure why this amuses her so much, and is unsure whether or not he should be insulted.

The mom friend of her group of friends. If you hurt one of her friends, run.

Things about necromancy, ghosts and such in this world:

-Necromancy:

Most creatures in this world have a Soul. When they die, their soul goes to the afterlife. Nothing is known about the afterlife, except from myths and legends.

It is impossible to resurrect the dead, or communicate with them once they pass to the afterlife. Most attempts end in horrible tragedy, so it is generally considered 'taboo' to attempt.

With that being said, Necromancy doesn't actually raise the dead. Instead, most necromancers are capable of two things: they can reanimate a dead body, which is mindless and will follow their orders blindly, or they can create a 'fake soul'. This grants the reanimated body some form of intelligence, but no actual personality or memory. They can simply plan and learn from fighting a foe, but cannot form emotional attachments. The 'fake soul' is very fragile, and will eventually shatter, either from attacks or from simply existing for too long.

While Necromancy isn't blindly hated, since people cannot help that they are born with the ability to use said magic, it is somewhat frowned down upon. If you are a Necromancer, chances are you aren't a very popular person.

Necromancy has been used in the past as a weapon, and different kingdoms have different thoughts on whether or not it could be considered 'wrong'. On the one hand, the bodies used are already dead, and their Souls have moved on. Others believe that it is dishonoring to the dead, no matter that the Soul no longer in habits it.

-Ghosts:

Every once in a while, a person will die in a way that causes their Soul to be trapped in this realm. Scholars are unsure how it is possible, but it does happen. When this happens, the body dies, but the Soul remains as a shadow of the person's self.

Only a few can hear them, and even fewer can see them.

Thankfully, it seems that if someone is able to figure out what's trapping the Soul in the world and 'break the curse' as it were, they are able move on to the afterlife in the end.

Scholars aren't sure how this works either.

-Spirits and other Dimensions:

While people are not sure if there are parallel or alternate universe to their own, there is scientific proof to their being other dimensions.

These other dimensions are often vastly different from this one, and are significant source of both terror and fascination to the world.

However, the people of this world do not have the technology to travel between them. The only time they are able to visit or see glimpses of other dimensions is when someone from another dimension crosses over to theirs - often times with ill intent - or if one is able to befriend a Spirit.

Spirits are creatures who are able to phase between the different Dimensions at will.

They were first mistaken for Ghosts, since they can hide themselves from people from this dimension, and since spirit was often used interchangeably with Ghost in the beginning, the name stuck.

They seem to be a peaceful race, and often only show themselves to warn of a danger from another dimension.

Some of them are fond of harmless pranks, and will 'haunt' people that either have manged to tick them off or people that they like.

While some think that it might be a great thing to befriend a Spirit, those who have often wonder if it is more trouble that it is worth.

Scientists have tried to create machines to sense Spirits

None of them have worked thus far.

These two are based on a couple of designs I did last October that I decided not to sell, specifically the Skeleton and Enderman design. Obviously I changed quite a bit, and I had fun with it, which is the most important thing.

I think I need to work on my naming skills, tho.

Any comments/constructive criticism would be most appreciated!
